Broaddus is an idiot. Literally the dumbest person in local DFW sport media. What do you think of Broaddus idea to trade up with Carolina and draft one the offensive tackles. I think Broaddus was saying take Sauce Gardener but we both know if the Cowboys went up that far it will be for one of the linemen. I think Neal would be a great left guard before he transitions to left tackle. I think the trade would be for a 1st, 2nd and two 5ths.
It would take this year's 1st and next year's 1st and 2nd to trade up for Neal.
Zion has terrific physical ability to play OG or OC and is the most intelligent player in this draft (Travis Frederick type intelligence).
Tyler Smith is the most physically talented OLineman in this draft. He is the closest OL physically to Larry Allen that I've seen since Larry Allen himself.
- He is just completely raw with no real technique which is exactly the description of LA when he was in the draft.
- He played at a small college and his his OL coach was very young and inexperienced.
- He has a overwhelming desire to dominate defenders physically.
- His biggest issue was penalties, most of which came because he insisted on pancaking defenders and then land on top of them.
- College football tended to allow that in the past but in the past couple of years they started calling more like the NFL.
- In the NFL, pancake blocks were legal in the nineties, but now get penalized if the OL ends up falling on top of the defender.
