I thought he's been playing decent for a rookie. I think the biger issue is still RT and our perennial all pro LT looking alot like a turnstile lately

Honestly...I'm shocked we haven't went out and brought back Jonathan Cooper. He was starting to really play well @ the end of last season.

But a shuffle @ this point couldn't hurt...

My idea might sound too radical...but I'd run w/ this...

LT-Martin- He's our best O lineman....and he's played there before.
LG-Cooper...better than Conner
C-Looney...servicable
RG-Collins...people have keyed on him...exposing him.. using speed. might utilize his power better as a RG
RT-T. Smith...no longer elite on the left side..but by moving him to the right side...now you can give him help w/ a TE

I'm not sure is C-Will is the problem.

Tyron is mentally off this year. I wonder if the new OL coach or the absence of Frederick is the problem with him. He appears to be in good-enough physical condition but makes bonehead mistakes.

I do wonder about next year in regards to the positions. I think C-Will should somehow be playing OT.

The guy is killing us on a weekly basis...and he's just about to hit the rookie wall...if he hasn't already. IMO he needs to platoon w/ somebody....keep him fresh. Then maybe he won't get over powered as much.

Collins stinks at the tackle position.... I think if we move him back to his natural position like we did with Byron and find a true tackle it would go a long way. I’m tired of this “position flex” crap.

He's in a difficult spot, learning a new position while not having the physique for said position all at the NFL level.

Tackle is much harder to play than guard in the NFL. Why does everyone think moving him to tackle will save him? He doesn’t have the wingspan, strength, nor footwork to play tackle. Strength being the biggest issue with Williams. When that end comes flying off the line of scrimmage there’s no way he can get a good punch on him while kick sliding. He’ll be tossed around like a sack of potatoes out on the edge. DEs are some hellatious athletes on the outside.
