We defiantly need to address this. 3-4 defense you think of big fast linebackers their suppose to be the heart of the defense. Shanle and Fujita are average players we need playmakers at this position. Saw some of the Indy and SD game. With Godfrey, Phillips, Foley Merriman can move around and play to his ability. He does have alot of players around him who can get to the qb. 3-4's are suppose to confuse the qb. When Peyton is confuse you know how the 3-4 suppose to work. Steelers have some good LB's as well. We have the weakest 3-4 LB's for teams running this defense.

i agree. I was hoping to see burnett sometime soon but it looks like he's not ready yet. I'm not a big fan of fujita, but he did make that play against the chiefs that probably saved the game for us. I would just like to see burnett because he has so much more athletic ability.

Shanle is the weakest link. He doesn't come up and stuff the hole. He is not aggressive. He was aggressive early in the year when they blitzed him, but he isn't against the run. He also does a pooe job covering his zone. Ware has played poorly the last couple of weeks, but he has been one of the bright spots at linebacker.

Well, that's the difference between adding a piece to a D that you are building compared to adding a piece to a D that is already built. San Diego's D was mediocre last year -- but they just lacked a pass rush. Or D was torn down and completely re-designed.

You all need to adjust your expectations. I know it is hard but grown ups sometimes have to be patient.

Well, that's the difference between adding a piece to a D that you are building compared to adding a piece to a D that is already built. San Diego's D was mediocre last year -- but they just lacked a pass rush. Or D was torn down and completely re-designed.

I agree that Burnett will go inside next to Bradie James and the Boys will pick up a veteran OLB in free agency. I think Ware will be OK if used properly in the future. He needs to be set free to chase the ball and attack, not run down the field chasing TE's!!!!

KT will improve our LB corps. We need to either sign a guy like the Chargers' Foley although he wont be cut. I am really hoping Haggans (Pitt) or Colvin (NE) are let go. Those guys wouldnt be too expensive and they offer great pass rushing potential.

Yup. I think that we will go Oline in the first and a combo of WR, LB and Oline for the rest of the day. The LB we select will be a ILB due to Dat's injury recovery up in the air. Or a FA signing like Andra Davis.

Our defense has talent but we need some Depth at LB and CB with Henry having a sore groin going into next year. His injury is what Im most worried about because if he doesnt rest it enough it will come back over and over. Burnett will most likely end up at OLB with Fujita being resigned, Singleton cut and KT will be Ware's backup.

agreed - andra davis would be nice and oline will be focus again- lets hope we dont waste more high pics on players like Gurode, Johnson, Jacobs and Peterman- they all suck
