He's not blaming Dak, he's simply explaining the serious of events. The plays were run/pass options. That means the base play is the run play but if the QB see a 1 on 1 or favorable matchup he has the option to switch it to pass. Dak saw Dez was 1 on 1 and correctly switched to pass. If he connects on one, this is a non issue which I think it is anyway. If they are stacking the box, its smart to have the option at the line to switch to pass.

I don't think Linehan is blaming Dak, he is stating facts that Dak can change plays and Linehan went on to say he had no problem with the plays outside of the execution. The slant was open, Dak needs to do better on that play.
