So this is great news, does this mean that it will now be his offense with his playbook? Or is it still going to be Garretts offensive gameplan with Linehan calling the plays?

Garrett and Linehan worked together under Saban I think Garrett plan and that of Linehan are one in the same. In Det he took the weapons he had and worked his game plan around the passing game.

Linehan installed new plays in the playbook when he got here. They discussed it back in training camp. He and Garrett used the same play calling system in regards to nomenclature before Linehan even came to the Cowboys.

The reason that the media and Cowboys made an issue of it being Garrett's system was back in 2013 when Callahan was the play-caller. Callahan had used a different play calling system in his past. They didn't want guys like Dez to have to learn a new system when Callahan was calling the plays.

Makes sense, thanks for the education

Yup they switched over to the EP method with plays from both of them and Callahan. They were doing that around this time last year. I am still concerned about our pass protection.

? Are you making 2 separate statements? How does pass pro relate to play calling nomenclature?

Linehan's nomenclature was not the same, he specifically said they would keep it the same as Garrett's because it was easier for one guy to learn the nomenclature, than the rest of the team to learn his.

They did have the same offensive system though, and they are like minded on offense.

I liked when we brought Callahan in because I hoped we would go to the west coast offense. It made little sense having Callahan calling the plays but keeping Garrett's system. Linehan was the best of both worlds.

Pollack is no slouch, the offensive line shouldn't miss a beat. I'd like to see Colomobo elevated to assistant offensive line coach.

The offense is going to be even better next year. I wouldn't be made if we drafted some offensive players if we can have a strong showing in free agency on defense.

I don't know tbh. They had that playbook ready by Spring. Now is the time when they are going to be doing evaluations and I am hoping they are finding solutions to our issues regarding pass protection.
