Easy tough guy. I'm just not willing to consider blaming all of that on the one player on offense that actually played well.

Here: Offense doesn't = Prescott.

The MVP on offense is the QB position - that's league wide - if your QB is not the MVP of your offense, you must make up for it in other areas. Building an elite defense and having it stay elite in the FA era is tough. Reid had to put up with this same crap with Smith for 5 years, and couldn't win anything in the playoffs. One postseason with a a top tier QB and they beat the brakes off a team in the cold against a defense we couldn't put up a single point on.

That's what we have, an Alex Smith. He's a guy that has moments but you're always looking for the upgrade.

As happy as you may feel right now, be prepared to be equally or more disappointed when the replacement is announced. It will not be someone that will install a new offense. It will instead be someone that Garrett can control and force the same offense upon. If they actually move away from Garrett’s offense, then what is he bringing to the team as HC?
