It was good to hear his perspective during these times of success.
The thing that stood out to me:
- said he is the new guy (i.e., talent and structure already in place)
- players are so multi-talented
- he will be using them in various ways

The system was already in place. He just needed to come in a flip the ON switch.

That's actually, basically, what he said. That Demarco was the first 1,000 yard rusher we'd had around here in a long time, and he was just continuing the success that we'd started to build here over the last couple of years, btw. Not that I necessarily agree with his modesty. I think he's had an obvious impact on the offense, but he recognizes that we obviously were successful on that side of the ball before he got here, too.
This is what strong experienced coordination will produce. Comfort. Fit. Results. What I really like about what his done is that he took what has made us successful and has worked it into the complete system. Rather than make the players conform to the system he actually made the system conform to the players.

He is like the mad scientist cooking up some goodies in a dream lab.
