Linehan took away Daks feet again

Look at Brady in the pocket and you'll see that you don't always have to be on the run to succeed, slight dips can buy you more time but Dak has the worst pocket awareness.

They don't need to run him often, but they do need to do it a few times to at least give the defense something to think about. It's the same with taking deep shots down the field, you don't have to do it constantly, but you do need to do it enough to keep teams honest. This is just a symptom of the failure with this coaching staff, we don't do things we have shown success with, we inexplicably go away from it. Why not go uptempo from time to time, why not use more pre-snap motion, why don't we use PA more often?

Last night we actually ran a pick play and it gained nice yardage. Witt even mentioned it and said, we never do it and should continue to force the defense to adjust. Of course, a pick route was never called again. We keep running plays that have been ineffective and don't build on the concepts and plays that are successful.

Not one bootleg option for Dak. Or does Dak choose when to run it?

This guy has to use his foot ability for offense to succeed.

...thoughts on this?

why would we want to do something that works?

Handing off to Zeke to plough between the tackles wasn't working so we kept at it

if Dak has to run and rush for the offense to be successful. then Dak sucks.....in the NFL, the QB has to be able to effectively pass from the pocket...if they can't do that...none of their other abilities matters......and there in lies the problem...

Dak isn't close to being the perfect qb, but you can win with him. There is enough pieces around him to be successful. When the coaches find something that works stick with it or build on it. Instead this coaching staff loves finding something that works then reverting back to stupid basic predictable playcalling. Its as if JG and SL takes the 2 stupid pills and a cup of Gatorade every other game.

I think the Brady comparison is a bit unfair, don’t you?

I think Dak’s best chance is to be a RPO/ read option guy. He simply doesn’t have the consistency/ mechanics to be a pocket guy. This team can win games that way if the staff will let them.

The D I’d good enough now—just give them 21-24 points, and the commensurate amount of time off of the field and they could be a 10 win team.....but none of that is happening.

Dak can’t run anyways lol it’s not a weapon he had unless he can throw the ball

When they decide to win another game, they will bring it back. Be patient.

Kind of like I've been saying, they are not putting him into a position to succeed.
the play-calling is garbage

I get the Dak bashing, but put Rush or White in there and you'll really see a disaster.

Or let's find some 2015 highlights of Brandon Weeden, Matt Cassel, and Kellen Moore. That'd be a good reference point to see what this offense would look like without Dak.

Put Brady in Linehans offense and he'll end up on his back like Romo.

Yes that's right... Dak warrants comparison in his play that only someone like Brady can succeed in this offense. Guess that's a high compliment for Romo. He was able to do it.

Oh yah, that Romo what a success story.

Truth

The more I hear how "no one" could make this offense move with these idiot coaches and schemes, the more I hear how good Tony Romo actually was.

Its funny because I told all the Romo haters how much they were gonna miss Tony when he was gone. LOL

....hey, but maybe that's what it will take for Jerry to go AWOL on the team. ;)
