Lions @ Saints

Just when I think these refs couldn't get any worse, they screw up another call by giving the Saints a first down when the receiver was clearly short.

I don't believe our receivers are better than theirs. Austin has had the dropsies for a couple of years now and Dez isn't exactly an accomplished route runner. Neither of which makes for receivers that a QB can really trust.

Lol have you not seen the Aints recievers they have the dropsies as well. Dez isn't a great route runner, but he's much improved. I'll take our wideouts over theirs. Their offense is superior because of the line.

And coach.

I dont get how you can extend your arms out than on your OWN pull the ball back down and get the furthest yardage. If your own momentum brings you back behind the first down marker than that should be the spot. How is that any different than catching the ball for a first down than running back wards for 5 yards?

I love romo but breese is so underrated as an atlhlete.

My thoughts exactly.

It can't be forward progress because he pulled his arms back. This officiating is shady.

Thought the same too...weird officiating tbh

Refs always seem to favor the Saints. It's been that way all year...for the last 5-6 years, really.

I'd say "shady" and "weird" are being generous.

Did Collinsworth really just call that single coverage as there were 3 defenders draped over Calvin Johnson?

The ref apparently thought Brees got knocked backward instead of pulling the ball backward himself.

It might have been a first down anyway, though.

Anyone else feels Stafford just hoofs the ball out and put it all on CJ to go get it?
Where would this qb be without a receiver like CJ
