Lions @ Saints

I wonder how many WRs have had 200+ yds receiving in back-to-back games? That's got to be a pretty short list.

Here's the entire list --

Calvin Johnson

I don't have a problem with going for it on fourth-and-inches from your own 40, either, especially in that situation.

I was referring to going for it from Detroit's 40, though. I'm pretty certain that Garrett would have just punted.

FWIW, Garrett knows Payton's style, and was ready for a fake kick on Thanksgiving Day against the Saints last year from the Cowboys 35 yard line I believe.

Garrett will never play that kind of ball. You're asking a guy that has his QB spike the ball so his fg kicker can try a 49 yarder to be that aggressive.

I don't think Garrett has it in his DNA, or rather between his legs.

Must be nice to have their line. Just think how Romo could perform with it.

Have to agree though, line or not he'd still be a spectacular quarterback.
Thinking the same thing. Damn they're good. You have a very good line, great receivers, and a super QB,they win time of possession every time! They win with offense.....and it all starts up front! You think we're going to get the guard from the Saints???? Dream on!

I won't jump to that conclusion...

You see..winning makes you more confident and more confidence makes you more aggressive..
When Garrett has his system in and starts stacking wins..confidence will grow and aggressiveness follows..

And he sure wouldn't be throwing the ball around either. we have lynch mobs on hand to deal with that type of coaching.

Saints or Niners?

I'm picking Saints.

My cousin is a Niners fan. He's been practically begging for the Saints all week.

I think he might be insane.

"Who dat" chants are maybe the worst in all sports...

A joke of a team that is still cannot take off the "loser" tag off their image and they are chanting who can beat them..

If the Cowboys hadn't melted down in epic fashion against Detroit, this would them getting absolutely plastered.

Am I the only only one who absolutely detests the Saints?

Nope I can't stand them or their bandwagon fans.

We would've played Atlanta.

...and which system is that? He's been running this offense for 5 seasons, going into his 6th. How much more time does he need for this growth?

The issue is that this team lacks the instinct of a killer. You see the Saints. They have a killer instinct. The Packers? They have a killer instinct also. The Cowboys are as soft as butter.

Hard to argue about Rodgers this year but IMO Brees is the best QB in the NFL and has been for awhile.

:laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:

Rodgers is clearly better as the stats show. Brees has a much better OL yet Rodgers still has better numbers. Brady is #2 btw. I'd even take Romo over him.

Jimmy started 1-15..I am sure you and others would be saying same thing
"can't believe anyone can support that clown"
"what system"

Let's talk in 12 months time..I'll make sure I remind you and other skeptics

Saints a bunch of classless *******s running up the score. I hate them so much. I hope the 9ers beat the **** out of them.

It might be a geographic thing, at least it is for me. I'm not around enough obnoxious Saints fans and I like Payton and Brees and co.

Their offense is a beauty to behold.

On the other hand, there were hordes of Niner fans in Hawaii growing up in the 80s and 90s. They have been silent for a decade, but they are coming out of the woodworks lately. I hope Brees and co demplush them.

They didn't run up the score.
