Watching the game right now and first 2 thoughts:

-Their stadium looks awfully empty compared to ours
-LOL @ staffords first pass being a pick taken to the 5 yard line

man cribbs is a BEAST returning kicks. went 95 yards for a TD on the kickoff but it went back because of a holding call then 84 yards for a TD on the punt return. wish we had that kind of talent at PR....other than risking newman.

Stafford could be a bust. People said he couldn't win the big one in college. This might be another Tim Couch type deal.

well Tim Couch had a noodle for an arm, and by all accounts Stafford can really wing the ball

I think Stafford is going to be a bust. Most of the QBs they say are "big arm, NFL-style quarterbacks" coming out of college are bustarific.

Staffords biggest problem is he believes in his arm to much.

He needs to pick and choose his moments to showcase throwing the ball into tiny windows better.

He could be great if he just plays the game smarter because physically he is awesome.

Detroit is a death bed for QB's. It must be the curse of Bobby Layne. He led the Lions to 3 NFL championships and they've been jinxed at QB ever since they traded him. Not a single QB has panned out since. A few have had their moments but that's about it.

Stafford struggled yesterday, but he very impressive vs Atlanta last week.

I'm sure he'll be like most rookies and be up and down a bit, but he has alot more talent than Tim Couch had.

Yeah, as opposed to those run around QB's from gimmick spread offenses like Vick, V Young, Alex Smith, Akili Smith etc etc...those guys are premier talents! Would definitely prefer one of those kind of guys.
