It seems the only way to play defense in the NFL anymore is just be basic.

Just bend don't break.. Keep everything in front of you.. Don't give up big plays.. Keep point totals low. Allow FG's.

We should've just stuck with what we have been doing because in reality very few teams play good defense and even if we drafted right and had the best coaches the NFL is just against teams playing quality defense and they have built the league that way.
That's why I dont like top 10 corners.

Teams are going to get their passing yards no matter what if theres not a good rush....and sometimes anyway.

Look at the Rams game to start the season..

They played us like we had the best pass rush in the history of football.

Our heads were spinning the entire game but at the end of it we kept the point totals low enough to win the game had our offense done anything in the 2nd half.

The Cowboys... It's like if 1 unit shows up the other has to stink up the field.

I bet one of these guys is our next DC. You know how the Joneses love to promote from within.

Edwards coached some good defenses as the Vikings DC a few years ago.
Yeah, I think Nolan gets canned and Edwards takes over. He was a DC for Zimmer (even if MZ was the real DC) and worked here before so Jerry knows him.

Won't matter too much until they get at at least 5 or 6 player upgrades, though.

Nolan and Tomsula and McCurley, the scheme failed the players in the front 7 the most, the scheme leader, and positional group coaches.
