This is my process of trying to narrow down the pick at #28.

I say that it's a 99% chance that the pick at #28 is on this list:

8 DE *Derek Barnett
14 WR Corey DavisInjured
17 DE Taco Charlton
18 WR *John Ross
20 TE *David Njoku
22 CB *Gareon Conley
23 OLB *T.J. Watt
24 DT *Malik McDowell
25 CB Kevin King
27 CB Chidobe Awuzie
29 SS *Jabrill Peppers
30 DE *Charles Harris
31 OLB Takkarist McKinley
32 OT *Cam Robinson
33 CB *Marlon Humphrey
37 CB *Adoree' Jackson
39 OLB Tyus Bowser
40 CB Tre'Davious White
42 FS *Budda Baker
43 FS *Marcus Sanders-Williams
44 DT Chris Wormley
45 DE *Carl Lawson
46 CB *Quincy Wilson
47 FS Marcus Maye
48 SS *Josh Jones
52 SS Obi Melifonwu
54 OLB Tim Williams
57 DE Jordan Willis
66 DE Tarell Basham
73 CB *Teez Tabor
85 DE Derek Rivers

Narrowing it down, my guess is that the pick at #28 is on this list:
17 DE Taco Charlton: Reminds me (physically) of Greg Hardy and Marinelli loved Hardy.
23 OLB *T.J. Watt: Based on local media, not my preference.
24 DT *Malik McDowell: Most talented on this list.
25 CB Kevin King: They like tall CBs.
27 CB Chidobe Awuzie: Solid in all areas, man, zone, character, ball skills, speed, size.
30 DE *Charles Harris: Seems like he could contribute early as a pass rusher. Poor combine.
31 OLB Takkarist McKinley: Injury issue probably makes it unlikely.
33 CB *Marlon Humphrey: Solid CB. Seems like good value even at #28.
37 CB *Adoree' Jackson: Local media is linking him to the Cowboys, but short.
39 OLB Tyus Bowser: Great athlete, long arms, big hands.
40 CB Tre'Davious White: Linked to Cowboys by local media. I'm not sold on him.
45 DE *Carl Lawson: Good fit but possible long term injury issues.

Narrow it down one more time:
17 DE Taco Charlton: Reminds me (physically) of Greg Hardy and Marinelli loved Hardy.
24 DT *Malik McDowell: Most talented on this list.
25 CB Kevin King: They like tall CBs.
27 CB Chidobe Awuzie: Solid in all areas, man, zone, character, ball skills, speed, size.
33 CB *Marlon Humphrey: Solid CB. Seems like good value even at #28.
39 OLB Tyus Bowser: Great athlete, long arms, big hands.

28 is tough
So many decisions you don't control
You are at the mercy of 27 others decision
I have no idea who they pick or who will be there
If they are there I would guess one of
Harris
Bowser
Taco
If they are gone a cb wouldn't shock me
About the only thing I think I know for sure is 28 won't be a qb, RB, k or oline
But who knows

Barnett if he drops obviously, but my list would be these guys:

17 DE Taco Charlton: Reminds me (physically) of Greg Hardy and Marinelli loved Hardy.
24 DT *Malik McDowell: Most talented on this list.
25 CB Kevin King: They like tall CBs.
33 CB *Marlon Humphrey: Solid CB. Seems like good value even at #28.
37 CB *Adoree' Jackson: Local media is linking him to the Cowboys, but short.

Wildcards:

Trading down 5 - 10 spots

Takk McKinley or John Ross depending on medicals

If I had to guess on one guy, it would be McDowell.

Saw that Jackson is the same size as Scandrick/Brown (5,10) but has almost 32" inches arms, which are longer than Lattimore.

Think the OP nailed it

Based on pre-draft visitors

Preference(Would be happy with any):

1)McDowell
2)Barnett
3)Awuzie
4)Humphrey
5)King
6)Obi
7)Charlton
8)Harris
9)Adoree
10)Bowser
11)McKinley (The injury is a bummer, would have him near the top of the list if healthy)

Do Not Want:
1)Watt
2)Tabor
3)Tankersley
4)White
5)Conley (like him as a player but untouchable right now imo)

Adoree Jackson
5'9-3/4
4.43 forty
186 pounds
31-3/8 arm length

Anthony Brown
5'11-1/4
4.33 forty
192 pounds
31-3/4 arm length

I'm all in on Willis. Power conference, injury free, captain, productive, Sparq leader. Cmon man!

I just don't see a pass rushing rde who can bend and get the corner. If we wanted another Demarcus Lawrence then hell yeah but I don't see him as that dynamic edge guy. But having said that I have been wrong multiple times before....
I like TJ Watt, Chalres harris but see stiffness in Taco that I am not sure translates to elite pass rusher.

I love Awuzie at cb, like King an awful lot too. Not a big fan of Humphrey but I would imagine Marinelli likes him cos he hits hard for a cb...but I would take Tre White over him if I had to

Taco reminds me of Greg Hardy who was a top 5 DE for a few years.

I generally prefer the smaller but uber quick DEs but the options are very limited.

I didn't see Taco as a top 10 pick like several analysts had him ranked a couple of months ago, but at #28 I don't hate it.

well, we'll find out real soon

I still think at the end of the day it will be Watt

I think Bowser is a real darkhorse though

Think it will end up being one of these guys

Gareon Conley
Takkarist McKinley
Kevin King
TJ Watt
Adoree Jackson

OLB T.J. Watt - as much as I hate to say it

Harris is my man

IISB Cunnigham
CB *Quincy Wilson

CB Chidobe Awuzie

god I hope we don't take taco charlton
I am with you. I haven't the slightest idea why anyone would think he is a consideration. He is not quick twitch in the least and is probably a better fit for a 3/4 de.

I get this feeling we aren't picking today....I see us getting all excited when pick #25 is on the clock and then when #28 is approaching, we hear about "the trade" so someone can get back int othe first
