It sounds like they all have a feeling that the Cowboys will draft a WR between rounds 2-4. I don't have an issue with it but I'm sure some posters here will scream in protest.

Possible targets mentioned were Matthews, Evans, Adams, Beckham, Benjamin and Landry

I imagine they will. This touted as being one of the stronger WR drafts in some time and they want to get one since Austin left.

Chances are there will be a point in the first few rounds where a WR is clearly the BPA over other players on the board.

Someone will drop into that area just like Williams last year.

I have no problem with it either. We need a guy with some size but also deep speed. We need some vertical stretch in this offense.

Then again, I am in love with Jarvis Landry, who provides no deep speed whatsoever. But the guy is just such a natural clutch WR. I'd take him gladly. He's the kind of guy who in a big spot in a crucial game, he's making the catch that wins you the game.

Per Broaddus, Verrett, the corner, could drop significantly. Shoulder surgery will keep him out for quite some time. PUP possibly.

not surprising, odds are that if they go BPA, positions other than DL will be higher rated. That is concerning if they go strictly with BPA and ignore needs. I wouldn't be surprised if we wind up with a couple of WRs, CB, RB, TE and P. I also would not be shocked if they fill the DL needs after the draft with UDFAs.

No thanks, been way too many of these that have not made any significant contributions.

He's also 5'9 coming into a league with more and more Megaton, Brandon Marshall, Dez monster sized WRs and fast athletic TEs.

Gotta admit...I was liking the idea of Landry in the 3rd...until the combine. Man was he horrible. Slow 40. Looked a little fat even/soft. I was expecting someone that had a little more muscle definition. But...with that being said....This reminds me of how T. Williams fell to us last year.

I just don't know if you can pull that trigger since we have so many other glaring needs though.

This draft is deep with DL in the first 3 rounds, and no true "blue chip" first rounders outside of a handful.

I think the first round is a tossup at this point if you're going BPA. In rounds 2-3 I think there's a good choice BPA could be a DL so we shouldn't have to reach in this draft. The haul in the 7th round and UDFA should be fun to watch. With our needs on DL, I'm expecting at least one guy out of there to come in and surprise people which is always one of the best parts of training camp.

He was suggesting an even a bigger fall than that.

Jerry will tell us they had him with a first round grade and was great value, and fans everywhere will cheer and proclaim it a genius pick.

I would like to see Odell Beckham in a Cowboy uniform. I would be running to the podium if he were there in the 2nd. I would sprint to the podium if Sammy Watkins were there for us in the 1st.

I wouldn't even mind if the Cowboys traded down in the first and picked up an extra 2nd or 3rd and then drafted Beckham in the 1st. Good DL will be available in the 2nd 3rd and 4th rounds. Just as true, good WRs will be available in the 2nd 3rd and 4th rounds.

Just go BPA. Don't force a player.

You would enjoy those draft shows on DC.Com as I think 2-3 of those guys really like Odell (of course two of them are LSU grads).

They also had a debate about Jernigan and whether he is looked at by the team as a 1 or 3 tech at DT
