Listening to Washington area sports talk today.

Very interesting. The Doc Walker show decided to just pretend Dallas didn't exist. They talked about "ALL 3" NFL unbeatens for about 30 minutes. Guess who they left out? They then got on the topic of the top 5 NFl teams so far this season. They listed the Pats, Indy, Steelers, and then said thats about it unless you want to look at Green Bay and Tampa Bay. One caller, a skins fan, listed his and included Dallas. They immediately cut his phone line and went to commercial. They went over every game and what happened but did not even mention the Dallas game at all. I tell you, they are really starting to lose it around here. That just can't believe how good Romo is and have decided to just ignore it. When I say ignore them I mean it. They didn't come on the air and announce "no Dallas talk", they just pretended the Cowboys didn't exist, didn't play this weekend, and aren't undefeated.

Wait until we lose one. They'll jump all over it with both feet and proclaim they knew all along we were just pretenders. It wouldn't matter if we lost by a single point to the Cheatriots. It would be all the "damning" evidence they need to reinforce that even though we beat up on injured teams that were bad to begin with, we just can't hang with the better teams in the league. I can hear it now.

True! I have listened for years, and he always gives the Cowboys their 'props'. He then will get a wise crack in because of the rivalry between the teams. You should hear him after the 'Boys beat the 'Skins!!

I think what you're referring to is the John Thompson show. They'll usually do that jokingly, but it's usually when a Cowboys fan calls in -- tries to be sneaky -- posing as a Skins fan, and then tries to plug in something about the Boys at the end of the conversation like "Cowboys for life" or something to that effect, you can usually tell right away that they're Dallas fans.

Baseball, In this area? Our baseball teams (Orioles and Nationals) make the Commanders look like look world beaters! It's definitly a Commanders town here, and maybe once a year they'll talk about the Wizards.
