Anyone else get them, especially in rival territory?

Just today from my local paper in NJ
"...Great win for Americas (most obnoxious) team.."

"...Yet they needed a trick play where the blocker caught a pass jsut to escape with a win..."

Trick play? you mean play action to our TE? yea, wher did we ever think up that one

Our blocker TE...

I still never understand the term "trick play"... every play-action pass is a "trick play"... the goal is to fool your opponent into thinking you are doing something different...

Did not the Chiefs run/fake the reverse several times? Is that not a so-called "trick-play"?

Maybe the NJ Paper should be asking why the Giants had such a hard time with the Eagles 2nd and 3rd String!.

I've never understood the term "trick play." I still haven't seen anyone juggle three footballs in the backfield and then throw a touchdown pass.

First off, the "trick play" play action was on second down on the KC 1 yard line. They probably would have been better off running the ball.

I did hear one person refer to the flee flicker as a "college play." Yet, I rarely see college teams do it.

Sorry, but I don't see how Dallas was "dominated" or "won a game they should have never won." Yardage and penalty yards were close and Dallas had a +1 turnover ratio.

They call them trick plays so they can act like the only reason they worked is because you had to use some tomfoolery. The realism is though, if the defense did what they're supposed to, they still wouldn't get fooled. It's just somebody's way of justifying losing.
