Little margin for error?

I keep hearing the players and coaches saying they have no margin for error. I understand the concept but that infuriates me when I think of trotting out Free and Ogletree when the season is on the line. Dallas has a slim chance, but still a chance to make the playoffs. Why does Garret insist on refusing to bench these two especially since both Parnell and Harris have shown that they can play? I think all of us are tired of Romo staring down Free with a disgusted look on his face. These guys are not going to come out of their funk, if they can't get their stuff together after 12 games, than it ain't happening. Why won't Garrett make the change when everyone with even a small bit of football knowledge sees this as a no brainer??? If Garrett doesn't make the playoffs this year and gets fired, it will be his fault. He bullheadedness will most likely cost this team a loss that it can't afford to have.

With that long rant, I will no longer ***** about Free or Ogletree. I am done posting and talking about it. At this point in time, it is what it is.

I definitely make the move at WR, but I think the team values KO's speed outside. I don't agree with it, but I think that's what they're looking for. In my book, Harris has produced and should have that job.

Free's a tougher case for me. I think I'd give Parnell the shot, too, but it's tough to roll the dice on benching a starter with the season on the line to go with an untested alternative. Parnell's play at LT gives me some faith, though. I was hoping they maybe didn't want to do it right before playing the wide 9, and that they'd look at a switch this week, but I don't expect it. I do think they should probably do it, though.

Free is so bad that I wouldn't even think twice about it. He can't pass block.

If Parnell belongs in this league at all then he has to be better than Doug Free.

I pretty much agree. It's just hard to replace an experienced OT for the stretch run.

Then again, Harbaugh switched QBs. There's a man-style move for a coach who's heading into a serious playoff run. It's easily a popular move when you make it, but when the guy does dumb things like run out of bounds to keep you from stopping the clock, and it gets you beat, you can see how it might backfire. (I'm a big Kaepernick fan, btw, despite this). All it takes is one play to lose your season at this point. Injecting more moving parts is always a risk.

I wonder if Romo ever walks into Garrett's office and says this needs to changed. That would be an interesting conversation to listen to.

i don't think KO is being used right. those deep passes down the seam should be going to austin and bryant, two guys who have the size and athleticism to go up for the ball. not sure why they keep giving KO these low percentage routes. i think he has the quickness to work well in short to intermediate routes.

Because he is matched up with the 3rd CB , may be? Still he can't seem to be holding on to the ball which is disgusting ....
