Incorrect. Fluker is fine value there.

Really I meant fit...draft value is fine. Some mocks have him even higher in fact. My intention was I don't feel he's the best fit for our line in my opinion and the pick was just because the Oline is a need. However in reality if he ended up being our pick our coaches must think he fits and I'd be on board with it.

Is it Thursday yet?

Dan Graziano tried trading up to 10 for Cooper.

Then stated he would trade down for Pugh if Fluker was gone.

He was going to pick an OL in round one, regardless of what happened.

That's the nightmare scenario where you are looking at Williams or Fluker. Though they aren't bomb picks by any measure, I think there's a discernable difference between them and Richardson/Cooper/Warmack/Vacarro.

This.

He´s been saying it for months now, he even tweeted this “I don't think there's a team that needs anything as badly in this year's draft as Dallas needs OL help” and I am not so sure I disagree with him.

I like his thinking, and I agree about how big of a need it is, but his determination to draft an OL in the first round is dangerous. When you draft solely for need, you reach or pass up good players at other positions.

If the other teams snatch up the first round talent before 18 (apparently there are only 17 with a first round grade) then fine, trade back and pick up some players for the trenches at the draft slots where they belong,,, but get some freaking linemen. The whole BPA purist stuff sounds nice but when your franchise has spent a decade and a half employing the "BPA except for linemen" strategy then you've got to make adjustments.

Guess I'm in the minority. But I love Fluker. I know his weaknesses but I just don't care.
