Is there a more pointless thing in existence?

The delay on the other end is literally minutes at times. It says something like "analyst is typing" for like 5 minutes only for their message to say:

"Thank you for holding".

What is that? How are you entering these keystrokes that it takes minutes to put out four words?

Not to mention these people damn sure aren't native speakers of English.

Why not just offer no chat and have me call in the morning. Whats the point in hooking someone up with an ESL employee who can't put a sentence out in a realistic time frame?

I prefer chat support to waiting on the phone. If it's available, I'll usually use it.

Either they have multiple sessions going or he/she is typing from a script

Or the most likely scenario he/she is in another country

I actually like the live chat support. I'm weird I guess.

I don't even want to know what he was trying to get support for :laugh2:

Translation takes time.

They use standard responses. They are probably using multiple windows to help more than one person at once.

I like chat support. Beats the hell out waiting on the phone and hitting zero to get a live person. My friend does chat support for a telephone company and he says that they get 5 -10 messages at once so that could be it.
