Lot's of NFC fans down that way...any advantage for either team?
I would think it would not be an advantage for the Pats.

This is California and Midwest country (particularly Chicago and Wisconsin). If the Packers made it, this game would have been a homefield advantage for the Packers since there are more Packer fans here than any other group including Cowboy and Cardinal fans.

From what i've seen, there are way more Cowboys fans here than any other team as evidenced by last years Cowboys/Cardinals game here. The whole stadium was a sea of blue, and I was right there on the field on the Cowboys sideline due to the fact that I work security for the stadium.

mr.jameswoods;1921140 said:There was a recent ESPN poll that asked which playoff teams was going to win the NFC and the majority of Arizona residents picked the Packers to win. I've been to a Cardinal/Packers games as well and you see the same theme of Packer fans overcrowding the stadium. I've been to all the Cowboy/Cardinals games since I've been here and I can't tell the difference between the fan support from Green Bay fans and Cowboy fans. They are both strong and dominant. I go to a lot of different bars and there are more Packer fans at the popular bars like Zipps, Fox Sports Grill, McDuffys, Fox n the Hound and Jillies than Cowboy fans. It's also much easier to find a Packer bar and Packer fan groups than their Cowboy alternatives. I know Hostile will disagree with me. He believes there are a lot more Cowboy fans but they are less public. I don't know, it's hard for me to say that when I've been in the trenches here and haven't seen the Cowboy support unless the Cowboys are playing here. That's the only time I feel the Cowboy nation rise here, otherwise, they are just dormant.
Oh yeah, I was at that game and it wasn't a sea of blue in my opinion. It was nearly 50/50 Cardinals and Cowboy fans. At Sundevil Stadium, it was nearly all Cowboy fans.

BTW.......Good post Mr. woods.

I have been to the Dallas/Cardinal games and there are always far more fans; however we do get a lot of winter visitor's from the mid west...
Phoenix cames nothing from Tucson.........Hostile;1920207 said:Tedy Bruschi is pretty much adored here.
mr.jameswoods;1921598 said:Those are not visitors. Those are residents. People move here from the midwest because of the weather. Aside from California, the majority of people moving here are from those upper midwest states like Illinois and Wisconsin. That's why there are so many Bears, Packers and Vikings fans
sbuscha;1921644 said:Go to the Golf course durning the winter and tell me how many Wisconsin license plates with a Packers sticker in the windows of these cars you count and tell me they are not visitor's. Hence the term "snow bird".
mr.jameswoods;1921941 said:Go out to eat some time and check out some of our restaurants. Does Oreganos, Chicago Dog, Tom's BBQ and Payton's Place ring a bell...yeah, they are popular places that were started by Chicago people. You think that's a coincidence.
License plates meaning nothing. A lot of people have lived here for years and not changed their plates. That's Phoenix in general. I didn't change my plates for 2 years. And in regards to those "visitors", these snowbirds own homes and live here 7-8 months out of the year; that's not what I would call a visitor. A visitor is someone who stays with you during the holliday and leaves after a week.
150,000 people move to the valley each year, you think they are all snowbirds. Guess again
