People still dream of the Dez pre injury.

Pre contract. I don't think getting hurt doomed him. Getting paid ruined him.

It's a well established fact that Dez could not play the slot position which is why Beas happened. OP, please do try to do better.

Dez couldn't run a precise route. He couldn't play the slot because he was such a poor route runner and failed to protect the football.

I seem to remember him playing there a few times and he caught them.

First down type throws where he was able to physically get the ball.

Becuz of the money he was being paid and Bez having the position asigned to him..

Dez did not get used there.

That was a long time ago. Four years ago since he performed at a high level.

He played prettt well prior to signing his new contract but all he has done is talk a good talk since then.

Injury, Cassel, Weeden, and Dak who is not comfortable to throwing to receivers who are wide open. I don't mind the boarding of ways because he was too much to not mesh with the qb...but Dez loss of athleticism was greatly exaggerated.

Again, to be a slot WR you need to be a precise route runner. Route running has always been Dez's biggest weakness. He just doesnt fit as a slot WR, as much as you would like him to

I think learning how to run proper routes was such a shock to his body that it caused the injury.
