Translation: you punked out. Have a [strike]paradoxical[/strike] nice day.

Oh yes, I got "punked out" because you were trying to learn me on the concept of Any given Sunday, which was once my screen name.

You tried to tell me this place was unfair and unbalanced, yet people like you troll here all the time. You tried to bring politics into it, which is a different matter altogether and just because you are a vehement righty, doesn't make me wrong for leaning left. You insinuated I was "classless", which I need not respond to given the source of the statement. You try to bait me into non-arguments such as "safer here"....

You say realists have been right for the last twelve years; you cite odds makers in Vegas, yet you fail to realize the odds of us winning a Superbowl, according to the odds, is 1 in every 32 years. Do you get the paradox here? But do the "realists" know the odds are we won't win again for the next 19, 20 or so years given the odds each team has of winning a Superbowl? I'm flabbergasted by your inability to think prudentially before you post this drivel.

Goody gumdrops, you can't see the paradox. I can only guess you didn't fair well at your top 20 school.

And the DCC you speak of in particulars, when I'm sure there is a broader perspective over there. But the fact that you speak of them in your defense is quite humorous.

Me, punked out. I'd say no. Punking you out, definitely.

OK, Debbie Downer, I'll be waiting for your next brilliant reply.

Maybe Santa will bring you some prudence.

Don't blame me. My first post was all about Jenkins. And then the usual suspects moved in ..
But you chose to continue, so no, you're just as much as suspect as everyone else.

At some point, you guys have to realize you're not gonna change each other's perceptions and maybe just discuss football...or at least something close to the OP.

I might be one of few, but I honestly don't care about other people's levels of fandom. If you weren't a fan, you wouldn't be on the board and that's enough for me. Everything else is secondary.

So anywho, go Jenkins. The man is balling out of control and I couldn't be happier. Especially when his play almost made this Saints fan cry last night at a party I was at. It was quite humorous and sad.

I want that for my Vista background. Did you find a larger version of it? A nice 1280x1024 or similar would be very nice.

Same here! I should have taken a panoramic picture of the atmosphere in the closing seconds of last night's game at the spot. The look on the faces of those loud and boisterous Saints fans was priceless.

Says the guy who cited his dog for the reason we'd win. Talk about weak. That's the only thing you could come up with because otherwise you would be inserting your fat foot in your mouth, given your previous "realist" comments about this team.

All one has to do is search your post history, like DallasEast once did, and you're flat out Pwned.

You sir are the hypocrite that you appear to enjoy citing elsewhere...

To you and any fan that thinks they're somehow better than others, people like me always have the heart and belief in the star. We'll always hope for the best. When things turn out not so good we'll also vocalize our opinions. I'm sorry that you can't face the fact that everyone doesn't live in your little rose filled world.

This team still has to display a strong level of consistency before I believe they're actually going to make any noise in the playoffs. I will continue to hope for the best but won't be surprise if they fall short of your rose filled expectations.

I wonder if the mods will do anything about the personal insults that seem to work themselves into every thread these days? The bitterness between what I considered good contributors is bugging the crap out of me. Didn't they close an entire forum over this issue?

Men are very competitive. We don't usually turn the other cheek.

Hey! Someone gets it! This won't deter the self-appointed thought police, though.

Just got an IM from Bob. He'd like to know what it's like to be invited to a party.

I was trying to enjoy Victory Sunday and Jenkins' fine performance when I was ambushed. Again. I can't control someone else's petty impulses.

I really don't have to address you, but I will anyway. You're a well know troll with your sig lines saying "talk to me know" and the tough guy act is humorous to many who have sent me PMs.

I cite reasons for why we'll do well. Search my thread history. You'll find Romo to be the primary reason followed by a talented supporting cast and it excites me that we have so many talented individuals on this team.

I don't think I'm better than you. I just think I'm more pleasant and realistic than you'll ever be. I'm realistic enough to know we can't win a SB every year. Yet I still manage to enjoy it the ups and downs. It's been that way since before you were even a member of this board. And there have been more ups lately than downs. I say that because I'm more realistic than you.

I've gone off on a few players, namely Drew Henson. But if optimism is a crime when there is actually more talent on this team than we've had in the past decade then shoot me.

I'm not lining up behind the sheep who take the easy route and pout after every loss and claim the sky is falling--the doom and gloomers. I try not to be a Debbie Downer, which I guess is my whole point. I echo theebs sentiments that believing in a team that is worthy of believing make for a more pleasant environment and fan culture than if I were to bellyache about every thing under the sun rather than see the true potential this team has.

Our secondary is one of the best in the league. Our defensive line is one of the best. Our quarterback is in the top 3, imo. Our RBs are the most talented group I've ever witnessed. Our WRs are pleasantly surprising me and we have the best group of TEs in the league.

Idgit said it best. The only game that wasn't close was the Greenbay game. And at least I have the testicular fortitude to predict a win based on something other than my dog is sporting its Cowboy gear.

I'm sure scooby doo there is a real big fan. My dog is sporting its gear today; we're gonna win!

:muttley:

That's substance.

Newman is in the top 10 cornerbacks for interceptions since he came into the league. He's never had a season with a bunch of interceptions, but he has consistently gotten interceptions and usually ends the season with three or four. That might not seem like a lot, but not many cornerbacks consistently get that many in a season.

TNew had a damn good game last night. Every corner takes one on the chin every now and then. Newman takes it all in stride.

Tough guy act? :lmao2:

I've said it many times and I will say it again. The internet is not the place to act tough. I guess you (and your IM buddies) feel my words give off some sort of tough impression. That's pretty funny. Rest assured. I am just a 120lb pimple faced string bean that uses my computer as my sounding board.

That all said, please don't run the risk of shattering the walls in your glass house by addressing me. Trust that I will not be upset at all if you continue to live with the high visibility that your glass house brings to you.

It's really sad that some people can't simply see the lightheartedness of some things (like snapping a few photos of a pet in Boys gear). I thought it was cute. Sue me. ;)
