As a
Well, that should pretty much silence the whole "24-in-a-row" crowd. See what happens when, for the first time since Urban Meyer arrived, you have to play a team which will actually finish in the top 20? Thanks for opening the door to the SEC once again, losers.
Ohio State: 7-5 in the SEC.
As a Big OSU fan, their D has been
awful the past 2 seasons. Had a bad feeling it would cost them at some point when their O wasn't perfect. I fully expect the d coordinator Luke Fickell, to take a head coaching job at a smaller school, and OSU will get a million dollar assistant type to take over. The play from the OSU safety’s has been the worst in the school's history. They gave up all 3 passing TD's, the first one should have been an easy INT for even a average safety.
In 2 years I've never complained about the offensive play calling, but Saturday was questionable. 3rd and 3 in 4 down territory, and you don't give it to Hyde even once, who MSU couldn't stop in the 2nd half? Too many drops by WR also.
The game came down to 2 plays. First one OSU up 7 and Braxton misses a wide open Philly Brown. There wasn't a MSU defender within 20 yards of him. He completes that pass and OSU goes up 14, and likely wins the game. 2nd one is the missed int by 3 OSU defenders. Roby ends up hurt and MSU kicks a field goal. No Roby the next series and MSU marched down for a easy TD.
Oh well. Disappointing, but not surprising the way their D has played the entire season.
We should finish with a top 7-10 recruiting class for 2014, and get the 3 scholarships back from Tat-Gate in 2015. Anything short of a top 2 finish in 2015 recruiting will be a big disappointment.
