The great thing is football is still very much in his future, I hear the prison units are already scouting him. LOL

He won't make the prison team. Even prisoners have some self-respect!

Poor guy...

I really do feel somewhat sorry for him in a Quincy Carter type way...

But, honestly, I hope he can turn it around because after all he is a human being...but damn! How many times does this guy need in order to know right from wrong?

Like pep said...there is normal, then there is the total opposite for some reason! But how do you get through to those kind of people?

simple, a few knocks to the head for a 24 hour period w/ 10, 5 minute breaks spaced throughout

Now wait a minute! You might be on to something here!

Maybe he's all concussioned out from playing football? Maybe his brain is all mal-functioned?

Can a lawyer use that as an excuse?

I don't feel sorry for him. He has an excellent opportunity to make big money and live a comfortable life and he chooses to do these stupid things, naw I don't feel for the guy. He can get an 8:00 to 5:00 job like most of us and try to make ends meet although I'm sure he will screw that up as well.

I know, Doomsday, but, it makes me feel a tiny bit better about myself to just give a little compassion for the dude...whether it's worth it or not...

I know I've been ragging on him enough!

Well, some do! Well most do!

Unless they are on my side...

Well with his recent lawyer fees , maybe he couldnt pay the registration fee for his plates. I'm sure plates for a Lambo aren't cheap.
Whether it's a Lamborghini or a hooptie, the highest fee which Tennessee will charge for a license plate is 70 bucks to have one personalized. Since he can afford to fill garbage bags with $81K, he can't use that excuse in court. Then again, he's dumb as dirt and he may well use it as a defense.

I would presume it was the taxes and insurance he was trying to avoid. Is he really stupid enough to think he can just switch plates forever and no one from the state DMV would notice? Here in SD if your insurance lapses, or you buy a car and don't pay taxes after 30 days, it goes out on the computer and they will know.

I know nothing has been resolved on the Titans part, but if they do end up saying goodbye to Punk, i'm betting they will go after a chunk of that cash.
Unless there is a specific clause in his contract, that probably won't happen. This isn't a Ricky Williams situation where he walked away from the team. The team would be cutting ties with Pacman. They would be the ones ending the contract.

It's be more analogous to a team waiving someone to save cap space, they may still take a hit.

I don't pretend to know much about th new conduct policy, which Pac is obviously beholding to, or what his contract says, but with what he's put the team through, i wouldn't bet againt thm having gronds. Also, we have yet to see if he will be convicted on any of the court cases he's going through. If he's convicted of anything, i'd think the team has a leg to stand on with the new policy.

It's actually diabolically ingenius once you understand the logic.

Yes, diabolically ingenius, yet so innocent in its stupidity.

One of the first things I was told in my first job in the legal world was something to the effect of this:

"You're going to come across people that are not normal." I was like, yeah I know some people aren't normal. They were like, no you don't understand, these people seriously don't know any better, and sometimes there's nothing anyone can do to "help them." You see them one time in court, then you'll see them again and again. You can't expect them to think like you or me. Their brain doesn't function that way.

Pacman sounds like one of those. Normal people, when their livelihood is at risk, they change... they wake up. People like this don't care. No amount of punishment will ever change them. If Pacman is one of these people, and it sounds like he is, he will inevitably end up banned from the NFL forever. But that will be the least of his worries, because he will also inevitably end up in prison.

All that said, the guy still has rights. The Constitution doesn't say due process is for normal people only. He won't be in prison before being afforded due process.

That reminds me of a lawyeer joke

A guy walks up to a house of ill repute, see, and ax for Tara
Tara comes up and says "I charge $5,000 for a night of companionship"
The guy says OK, "Here's $5,000, I want to give the money to you" and they share a great evening toether
The next night the same thing
The third night he comes up and ax for Tara
Tara comes up and says "I can't believe you are back knowing my fee is $5,000 per evening!" But she accepts it and they have a third great night of companionship
Late that night the guy says goodbye and thanks Tara
Tara, hopeful of more big money, ax: "Will I see you tomorrow, big spender?"
"No," the guy says "I'm your uncle's lawyer and he wanted to bequeath you that $15,000 I gave you"

Here is a good one: A horse walks into a bar
The bartender looks at the horse and ax: "Why the long face?"
