June Jones resigned as UH coach tonight, and one of the names being bandied about is Duane Akina for head coach, primarily due to his local ties. How would you rate his perfromance at Texas and is he remotely close to a competent candidate?

hes a great secondary coach as seen by the last couple of drafts with all the DBs taken in the first round. However the defense struggled at times last year when he was making the playcalls. Its hard to say how succesfull he will be as a head coach. Im actually transfering from UT to UH to go to pharmacy school there, its kinda ironic!
