Does anyone else totally dislike the numbers that Texas has put on top of their Longhorn logo? Get rid of the numbers on the helmets!!!

It's a "throwback" helmet from the early 1960's. I think, or hope, it is just a one year thing.

it's an ode to our 63 championship team, we wore them for the first game and the players voted to keep them for the year as we were supposed to be contenders. It is a one year thing and I kinda liked them, they easily helped me figure out bergeron was wearing grays jersey the game after he went down.

for those who were born and raised in San Antonio, READ THIS.......

Well the horns r coming to our town(San Antonio that is) for the second straight yr. coming to a town that has its own team, the utsa roadrunners. It seems everytime the horns play in the alamo bowl, most SA college fans consider them as a more lovable team to worship than UTSA. makes it the biggest thing in college football here in SA. more important than our UTSA's success in FBS recently.

What do the Horns have that the Runners dont have? I go for the horns if im from austin, or attended ut or have family that attended. Im not one of them. im a roadrunner fan, cause im from sa. Ill root for the horns(on a part time basis) only cause our team is not in postseason play. And it doesnt mean il wear burnt orange n white. Cause I always wear blue and orange. Think about this college fans from our alamo city, its about loving the home team, not a team from elsewhere. its ok to love Texas State, but the Horns, or even the Aggies on a full time basis. what gives?

We being that im san antonio born n raised and I never attended a fbs school. my primary fbs college team of choice is from the city im from. The roadrunners, thats the way it has to be.

That's fine, I respect your love of your home team. But to come into a Longhorn thread and wonder why UT has more fans than UTSA is a bit silly. College football is about tradition and maybe the fact UTSA has been around less than 50 years and have only had a football team for the past few has something to do with it .
