He was faaar more than that.

He changed the way the game was played. Instrumental in the implementation and evolution of the 4-3 being top of the list.

But yeah, maybe Im just old school, but I liked the days when you could tell the difference between the water boy and the head coach based on how they dressed.

I hear you . And these NFL mandated outfits they force these grown men on the sidelines to wear are the worst . Landry was historical .

The go along to get along culture is being purged. Unfortunately it takes a while to see if winning results will be realized. I like what is collectively being done right now in Frisco. I don't think it's just a Shotty thing, I think he convinced tweedle dee and tweedle dumb that this was needed first and foremost. They seem to have bought in, so are working closely with him . For the first time since Parcells was here, it looks like everyone is talking the same lingo. It's been a while. Let's see what happens, and yeah, we have reason to be excited.

Everyone is simply too quick to react ,almost bipolar. I think it's because of the last 30 years. None of us are sure how exactly we should feel lol. For me, the joy and vibe is palpable. I feel different about the team, optimistic. I feel a quiet confidence about this team. That may not mean we win this year, but if we can establish a better way to do things around the team, a better philosophy, things will turn around. Gonna take time though and the fans will need to be patient. Don't give up on Shotty.

Well, we all agree that a HC should be their "authentic self" so this is just who he is.

If he can effectively gameplan, make in game adjustments, manage the clock, and motivate players, he can wear a bra on his head for all we care.

But yes, the visor is dorky as hell

Can’t just switch teams coach. Impossible.

If it were that easy I’d have been gone long ago.

I don’t care if they lose for the rest of eternity, I just don’t like Jerry and his act and the way they insist on running it all and being in the spotlight. Anyone who fails at the rate they do ought to head for cover, but they still get out there and act as if they are great. It’s an embarrassment. It is for me anyway.

I suppose it’s too much to ask that my football team be about football.
