You got hosed...yes this is true...
But i think judging from you guys reactions to posts i made in the lead up to this game, (mostly flaming me for questioning the annointing of romo and my questioning of your assesment of the saints) that your pride is hurt because you have underestimated our team. If an AFC giant like the chargers had beat you i dont think you would be reacting like this.
Tony Romo may not be the second coming (like i tried to say before) but he did still lead you to a huge turnaround and one game doesnt change that! At the end of the day its just one W for us and one L for you.

Specific points, he seems to make a lot of big throws but man does he throw some bad passes. Honestly he should have had 0 TDs 4 ints...

No it is not just your team.

The defense of the cowboys just did not play well at all, the coaches did not adjust and we kept passing early when we should have been running more.

Romo is lucky to walk out of that game with only 2 ints when he could have had 4-5.

I don't care what team it was we were playing, that was a royal butt whooping of biblical proportions.

Makes no difference if it would have been the saints or the chargers.

Well it seemed to fit since it was the saints and all.

As far as beating the falcons. I imagine we will go out and play a lot better this next game.

I won't count my chickens, but i feel that if the saints dont have a letdown next week we wont lose again in the regular season. Supposedly we just beat the best team in the nfc, so i dont think the other strugglers are gonna beat us.

Ha! The media had you fooled just like the rest of the nation. The best team in the NFC may lose, but they lose on plays like a fluke fumble in the endzone (see Troy Aikman's fumble back in '92 against the Commanders). They don't lose to anyone 42-17. I am almost certain that dink and dunk and misdirection will not work against a team like the Bears, i.e. a team that has a semi-competent defensive coordinator with some talent.

can we get rid of saints fans from here already?

or banish their posts to the "other teams" forum.

win or lose we dont want to read posts from saints, eagals, giants, skins fans and lets be honest... this week showed NO to have the worst TROLLS i've ever seen here for some reason. inexcusable just like our performance last night.

you won... contrats... now go away.

honestly i think we have a better chance at the bears then anyone else in the nfc. We have the most dynamic offense in the nfc, and even in our losses have never had trouble moving the ball. I'm not as afraid of the bears as the rest of the nfc should be..particularly those who might be playing them in the first round

No doubt in my mind, the Saints are resurrected and they're for real and a tough team. The Cowboys were out-coached, out-hustled and out-played last night, all the way around. They were stumbling around flat-footed while the Saints were on their toes and playing with confidence and determination. They have won five in a row against Dallas now and they will be a factor in the playoffs.

Sometimes a team is just flat and can't play well that day, maybe that's what happened to Dallas last night and a time when NO was peaking. Maybe Dallas just took NO for granted and got whalloped upside the head. Who knows? I certainly don't.

The playoff scenario just got a lot more interesting.

Both teams seemed to get out injury free which is huge at this time of the year as well. Good luck the rest of the way unless we met you again in the playoffs.

How does it feel to be a winning team after a life full of loosing seasons?
Enjoy it while it lasts!

Don't count me into the overreacting bunch. I knew the Saints would give us a game simply because of one thing. I'll repost what I posted earlier in the week elsewhere.

This is actually the only remaining game I pegged a couple of weeks ago as a very tight game that we might lose for the few following simple facts. I strongly believe we win the other three.

* Sean Payton knows our offense like the back of his hand.
* Payton is a master at preparation thus he will have the Saints prepped to give us problems.
* Due to Sean Payton, your defense will know what we're going to do before we snap the ball.
*Sean Payton.

Need I say more? Good luck to you and the Saints this upcoming weekend. It's going to be a fun one to watch. That's also a fact.

I just didn't think Zimmer would totally go to sleep at the wheel. Neverthless, it is one game and we will rebound from it. Good luck to you and your Saints as we head down the road to the playoffs.

Congradulation on your teams well played game. Hopefully Dallas will get it back together and we get another shot at the Saints.

It was two things
1) outcoached, outthought, out-play-called, outschemed at every level, at every position, in every phase of the game.
2) Drew Brees play as perfect a game as I have ever seen a QB play. He was flawless.

At some point, the Saints will run out of tricks. I still don't feel they are as talented as any NFC team that is being talked about for playoffs. But that's great coaching. We don't seem to have but NO does.

And Indy had the most "dynamic" offense in the NFL last year and homefield advantage, but what happened. When faced with a GOOD defense (which we don't seem to have) they are completely lost. Just as your Aints were against the Ravens. Any given Sunday is all you need to remember.... You're "dynamic" offense put up almost 600 yds against the Bengals, and lost! Scoring all of 16 points...
