Aren't we just brimming with confidence.

So far, I read the following discussions about this record breaking game:

Consecutive 50 point games.

First ever 60 point game (The franchise record for points scored in a game is 59 which they did twice.)

It's going to take McCarthy's maximum effort in self control not to put in the backups before the1st half ends.

It's true that the Texans have had a terrible season. However, do you know the one single event that could turn the entire season around? Perhaps even save their coaches job? it would be like a Super Bowl to them. It would endear themselves to their fans again.

And they are proud athletes as well. Do you think they are just going to stand by while an entire league treats them like the sacrificial lamb.

The Cowboys had best be prepared for a brawl.

I think it has less to do with confidence and more with practicality.

1. They clearly desire to shift Tyler Smith inside because they did it last game even with the game relatively close. I expect them to do it longer this game in the natural progression of prepping for Tyron Smith.

2. That leaves Connor McG without a job in a few weeks and he was an excellent FB last year, so he might need to shake some rust

3. Brown is hurt, and we don’t know (I don’t think) if Joseph is better than Bland. You need to know how you want to go into the playoffs with your corners

4. If LVE is out you have to do something. Barr hasn’t been blowing anyone’s socks off

right LOL yet eagles-Texans were tied 14-14 at the half in their game, correct? I expect a game much like the colts to start then we start winning big and pull payers in the 4th..not expecting a mauling from the beginning.

If we jump out to big lead i don't want Micah out there trying to pad his stats. Coaches need to sit him down.

If this goes the way we think, don’t be surprised to see some possible switch ups in personnel in the second half. I’m particularly interested in:

- Jason Peters at LT and Smith at LG for a full half
- James Washington getting plenty of work and maybe some more Turpin opportunities at WR
- different CB combos, including Bland inside and outside, and testing Wright and that PS guy they like a little
- Also would interested to see if Cox gets used with LVE questionable
- McGovern playing some FB again
McGovern needs to play Center.

When Tyron is active on game day, it's going to be difficult to carry a backup OC other than McGovern without increasing the total OL active for the games.

Jabril Cox will have to be active in order to play...

Is no one considering the possibility that the Cowboys play down to their opponent and struggle to eke out a win? This is not a preseason game.

This has "trap game" written all over it. Much like the Giants game... I do think we will win but I think the score will be much closer than many of you are predicting. I am an old guy and a fan since 1970. I was 10. I know a thing or two because I've seen a thing or two.

I was 10 in 1970 too.. and I had already been a fan for 5 years.. What kind of parenting did you receive that you were not able to root for the Cowboys until so late in life! LOL!

I'd probably get some sort of non-contact injury breaking the huddle...

One of the advantages of always being the little guy is that I've never been intimidated by huge people on the other side of the ball. Then again I never played against any 320 pound guys either.. But I did play against Nate Newton and his little Brother Tim in high school. But I only lined up at wide receiver both those games and thus neither of them ever got a chance to crush me! LOL!

I would be concerned if I was hearing this from the players or staff, but these are just a bunch of fans being, well, ...fanatics. How much cheese they eat has no impact on the game....it will however create a much bigger letdown/meltdown if things don't go as expected.

Yeah I think most people would be shocked at the tunnel vision the players especially have during the season. If you watch the Miller Lite Cowboys Hour show every week with Brad Sham and a player guest Brad is always trying to get the player to talk about games later in the season and none of them ever knows who the opponent is beyond the one they are about to play. When they had Zeke on just before Halloween they asked him about his plans after the Thanksgiving week and not only did Zeke not know who they were playing on Thanksgiving yet he didn't even know that they didn't have the Thursday-Thursday turnaround this year. These guys are laser focused on the current opponent and don't even think about next week's opponent.. until it becomes THIS week's opponent.
