What are you guys doing? You claim that the team has no heart and is weak minded, you should look in the mirror.

95% in here are already giving up on the season, including some prominent people who have been positive until now. All we have to do is get on a roll and we are in position to win a playoff game or two. Things have to click up another notch on execution, but we are in position each game to win.

Almost all NFL seasons a team or two will get hot at the end, go into the playoffs streaking, and make a name for themself.

Prior years don't matter.

We can beat the Saints this week. They are not playing that well right now and are due.

I have this to say - get yourself back together. Don't give up -- there is plenty of football left to play.

I am with ya bro. I will believe for this 2009 team until we are eliminated from the playoff's. Nothing wrong with that. It's a 16 game season....not 13.

I don't think it's over yet. I'll throw in the towel if lose to the Saints and the Deadskins. Until then I'm still going to believe.

Is this a gut-check roll-call? I'm here and won't roll over and play dead until we're actually eliminated (or win it all :) ).

Even then, I'll think the rest of our fans are mostly hopeless, faithless losers.

I haven't quit. Thats why I am still on here.

Because im a fan of something that is bigger than these players. That is the Dallas Cowboys.

With that said I think this team has quit and thats why I am not giving them a chance.

Yep, no point on quittin on them. I mean, come'on....why quit on YOUR favorite team? There playing hard for us fans. Hey, they just didnt come thru with the "W". I feel for the team and players, there really trying hard to get us to the playoff's.

I will stand by this team. Even a loss to the Saints doesnt bury us. We can still beat Washington & the Eagles @home and get in with 10 wins.

That's pretty much the definition of quitting.

What are you seeing that gives you the idea the team has quit? That's one problem I *definitely* haven't seen even a hint of.

I'll still be here watching, rooting, hoping but I'm not expecting them to beat the Saints and that will pretty much seal the deal for us, unfortunately.

And there is a huge difference between rather the team has heart, and is quitting (Which I don't believe they're quitting or anything like that) and fans. Fans are just that. No matter how much we believe, or don't believe, love or don't love from our homes, at local bars, or wherever people are watching the games at, it has zero bearing on the outcome of games.

So there is no real chance for a fan to show no heart or whatever.

I hear what you are saying and I echo it. I dont see any reason for us to give up, its just about making the playoffs, after that anything can happen.

However I will say this. I have always stood up for the crowds at the stadium and defended the fans here as a whole.

But after the last few weeks I wont be doing that anymore. THis is a very large city. It should be an incredible sports town with the quality of athletes that come from here and the level of play in high school of all sports.

Yet it is not. This is not a city that sticks by their teams, this is not a city where the fans can take a punch and then hunker down and throw one back. This is a spoiled city filled with lousy fans who sell their tickets at the drop of a hat for profit, completely quit cheering in the stadium when times get tough, leave when times get tough...sit in the stadium and scream fire this guy and that guy when times get tough.

The fans on this message board who dont attend the games are the same way, most of the people here would sell out everyone at a moments notice when times get tough.

The media here writes articles and takes angles that you would expect from the opponent team of the week. They show no respect to the coaching staff, the owner or to their own profession.

THis is what is the bummer to me. Last week I was bummed because the team lost and blew an opportunity to win the east. Now this week I am bummed because so many fans and this area show their true colors when times get tough.

That is why I have just had it with a certain group of people here, especially when I hear them yapping about the fans down here but then in turn they are equally as sorry with their actions.

I listen to all the sports radio stations and read everything I can etc......there seems to be all this passion for football here, yet when the games start at the stadium there is basically no passion.

This city to me is just as much a bummer for me as the team and I will never defend the local fans here again. As much as I hate that I will get lumped in with this group because I am speaking of the whole place, well this place sucks.

Superpunk said to me about 3 or 4 years ago or less, that the reason the fans in the northeast rustic belt are better is because they have nothing else going on, and I debated that saying it wasnt True. I was wrong and sp was right, I apologize to him for debating it. I am from the rustic belt and grew up infatuated with the nfl, I guess looking back on it because that is all Myself and my friends were into over the long winter. It is part of my life that will never change.

Down here, people just complain and whine and jump ship at the first sign of trouble and move on to something else. Maybe I am just naive and need to do this.

anyway, to anyone who I ever debated about this area and the fans and the stadium I apologize, you were right and I was wrong. This town stinks as a fanbase.

The way they layed down after Demarcus got hurt.

I think we will see that carry over to the Saints game and we will get beat down.

Explain to me how 13-0 and is not playing well and how can i sign up my team to play that lousy? I would love to hear this.

I haven't given up on the Dallas Cowboys.

Haven't in the last 30 years, why start now?

But, this Dallas Cowboys team needs a major overhaul. It's not giving up on them because of no heart. It is because of realism if fans decide to.

This team can't hang with the elites of the NFL. Just look at that Giants/Egals game last night.Neither team is an elite team but, look at the hunger those two teams have. They brought it every play. I have not seen one game this season where the hunger was like that for the Cowboys.

The 09 Cowboys have 3 more games. Will not make the playoffs and Jerry will hopefully get a clue and get real with himself.

I hope this 09 team wins out and takes it all.

but, the realist in me says, not likely.

That's what this team has been for the past decade.

Did you not watch the Skins game? They were totally lucky to win that one - a missed chip shot field goals is the only reason they

Atlanta also had a great shot to beat them without 8 starters including their QB and RB.

If you think they are playing like a 13-0 team right now, then you are clueless.

I don't get why people think we are 'laying down' when the other teams make plays. It is mind boggling to me.

Is Wade and the red headed step child still running the team?

Its over.

please dont repost this crap after NOLA knocks the bejesus out of us.

Whats their record? What is it? What? Im clueless, that team is 13-0 right now and only 1 other team can match their record. Yeah, we are playing out of our minds right now but Brees is catching all the breaks.

Yeah, just stop it right now and let it go.
