Okay, so I've said it many times. I really don't watch many TV shows. Of course, Star Trek is KING of all TV shows for me.

Anyhow, not long ago I started watching the Enterprise series again. This week though, I just didn't feel like watching it. So, I started Netflix anyhow just to see if there were any good documentaries on and I see this TV show called Hell on Wheels. It's a freaking western with this name?!??! I'm thinking to myself. How stupid, this show must suck something fierce. I couldn't find anything else to watch and I love a good western, so I said screw it. I'm looking to fall asleep anyhow, so I turned it on.

The outcome? I couldn't stop watching it and ended up watching like 5 episodes. The problem is, I started at 9pm and I had to work in the morning! rofl.

Anyone else see this show? How did they get five season and it be this good and I've never freaking heard any of you jackholes talking about it?

The last show I watched called "Hell on Wheels" was about some blonde stripper that wore roller skates.

You can probably guess how that ended.

It's better than DS9. At least half of DS9 episodes were garbage soap opera like shows.

Well I agree on DS9 being putrid, I never bothered to watch half of that back then, but Enterprise, even worse.

I don't think it was anywhere near as bad as you say. Let me guess, you absolutely hate the prequels Star Wars movies too amiright?

Yes, I actually never really loved Star Wars as a whole, but yea those were pretty awful. Might say I did not like JJ Abrams Star Trek movies either, can't consider it a genuine part of the franchise.

Now the fan made Star Trek stuff might actually be pretty good, wait to see what will happen legally with that.

I think the day it airs has been a big factor in how well known it is. There's just not very many people looking for a TV show to watch on their Saturday nights. It's a really good show though and is a fairly accurate depiction of the time with the corruption, Native American attacks, railroad town conditions, etc. with some made for TV stuff of course. The guy who plays Anson does a really good job.

Been watching Hell on Wheels since the first season and love it. Sad that the current season is the last season.

If you like hell on wheels or westerns...you might like Longmire. It is a modern western.

Too bad they don't have deadwood on Netflix..that was a great western on HBO...they screwed up and cancelled the show without giving it a farewell season though.

About Star Trek. I noticed they had the Star Trek Voyager series on netflix and watched the first episode only to realize they had all the other Star Trek series on. Some may hate it but I liked Enterprise and have watched about 10 episodes again.

Later I will have to try and watch DS9. It was the only show (not counting the original) that I did not watch much of because I did not like it. But I will give it another chance down the road.

I started watching Deadwood a while back on Amazon Prime. I kind of stopped watching right after Wild Bill died. Not because of anything, just never found the time after that then pretty much forgot about it.

As for Netflix and Star Trek. Yep, they have all the series and generally keep some of the movies in the rotation. Star Trek alone is enough for me to keep my Netflix subscription.

Once I get done with Hell on Wheels, maybe I will look up this Longmire.

I'm also a sucker for Westerns. I never got into Hell on Wheels, probably because they advertised it to death, but might check it out.

oh man Hell on Wheels is a great show, sucks thats its ending........actually now that GoT is over for the year I switched my ringtone to the theme song for Hell on Wheels, probably keep it that for awhile to since its never comin back after the next 4 episodes........I thought the same thing when it first started, "Hell on wheels?, seriously?, nah I'll pass"...but my Stepmom and Dad run a liquidation store that I help with every now and then, and they got in a whole mess of Season 1 DVD's where the cases were merely dented or somethin silly...So I finally said screw it and took one home, me and the wife were hooked right off the bat.....And for me and the wife the Saturday night timeslot is yet another reason we've loved it, its nice to have a show in between a couple movies for "date night"....

I personally loved Enterprise and Voyager (which are usually the most hated among Trekkies, but whatever I enjoyed them). I think Scott Bakula is a good actor. I've enjoyed the recent movies, but that being said I hope the new series on CBS on demand will be in the old timeline.

Haven't watched Hell on Wheels, but I may need to, I enjoy westerns and like someone else said it was just advertised to death so I didn't really want to watch it. I'll look into it.

And YES Longmire is a great show, I don't think you will be disappointed.
