Looking ahead ... in a good way

[Verdict]

It is too early to tell if Romo is the next great Dallas QB, but it looks like he has some potential. Lots of posters were calling for Brady Quinn next year, or a stud like Adrian Peterson (I was for drafting him).

Lets say that Romo finishes with a "good" year, but does not set the world on fire (ala Tom Brady). What positions would you target next year in the draft? I am and have been a "best player available" kinda guy, but if everything else was equal, wha position would you try to upgrade via the draft as we sit here at midseason?

We have a couple of solid players on the OL right now in Gurode, Kosier, and Colombo, all of whom are young. I think we need to replace Flo, and Rivera. Flo's footwork is horrible, and Rivera isnt the same player he used to be in GB.

It should be a consensus - OL is our weakest link. I would pick up an OG probably in the first round, followed by a NT in the second, a WR in the third, a LB/DE in the fourth, another OL in the fifth, a CB/FS in the sixth, then who cares after that...
in FA I would get a veteran QB, OT, KR/PR, MLB, TE.

My first 5 picks would be:

OL, OL, OL, WR, QB - but not necessarily in that order...

I'd also look at bringing in a game-changing DL/LB if one was available to us... but he'd have to have insane upside and be a nasty player.

No more "Mr. Nice Guys" on our D. I want a hell raiser.
