I know, I know....take care of the Lions first BUT....always fun to break out the crystal ball! What IF this happened??

We take care of Lions, go to GB and get a W (probably a FG difference).

Carolina beats AZ (they should)
And if Carolina plays on all 3 facets vs Seattle like they did against the Falcons yesterday, I say they can beat Seattle!

NFC 'ship in OUR HOUSE!! Who's with me?!?!

Well <IF> we are talking about looking ahead then I have to say the Cowboy - Packers matchup is the stuff of dreams for the football fan:
  • Cowboys 8-0 on the road, the Packers 8-0 at home. Something has to give
  • Played at Lambeau in January (it doesn't get more "classic" than that)
  • The whole "history" thing. The Ice Bowl, the Cowboys recent history losing to the Packers, the Packer's recent history of losing at Lambeau in the playoffs, etc
  • Top 2 QBs in the league (by QB rating)
  • Cowboys WR1/WR2 and the Packers WR1/WR2 have 24 and 25 TDs respectively. Really awesome pass catcher on both sides
  • Two best OLs in the NFC -- Cowboys are the best but the Packers are MUCH improved this season
  • Cowboy's great running game with Murray and the Packer's with Lacy
  • Two average'ish defenses -- the Cowboys play better as a whole due to effort/intensity/etc, the Packer's defense is some very good players but doesn't play as well as a whole

I think it's more likely that AZ beats Carolina and then beats Seattle.

The same Arizona team that has already lost to Seattle twice? I doubt that. I think Carolina will win at home vs. AZ and could present a challenge to Seattle if their defense showed up like it did yesterday. You have to give Seattle the nod but you never know. Would be awesome if Carolina could get lucky.

Thanks for writing that up. I agree it would be a fantastic game with 2 great teams who badly want to win.I just hope Rodgers gets another major calf cramp!

It is very hard to beat a team 3 times in one season. I could side with Arizona in this one, if not for the QB issues. Panthers seem to be playing better as of late.
I probably would have to go the Panthers on this too.

It's really 3 different teams that Seattle would be playing.

You probably have to give the edge to home field team.

And...

How long can Cowboys go... Winning on the road?

Tough one

I agree but it seems like Seattle really has Arizona's number. Either way. It would be awesome if either team could knock off Seattle. Playing in Seattle with their crowd is not fun.. especially in the playoffs. I'm going to pull for Carolina because maybe Carolina would present a better challenge and could be a tough style match up against Seattle. Also, if they could get lucky and beat them and we beat GB, we would have a home championship game against Carolina! Holy crap that would be awesome!

Anything that has Dallas in the NFC Championship game, winning, and going on to win the Superbowl is all great with me.
