Something to consider when looking forward into this season...
This season isn't the first professional season, now, for our team leader. Last season, he received almost no reps with the first unit, until Tony Romo was fully out of the picture.
That simply isn't the facts for this season although. Dak has taken all the preparation reps with the first team for a complete off season. He has been the sole focus for the coaching staff as well as the players, themselves. Team unity is a bye product of this fact. There is now a newly gained and more sophisticated chemistry.
Dak has full respect of both the coaching staff and teammates. He is a respected and in truth, the face of the franchise. He has become a respected leader, through dedication and old fashioned focus and work.
Expanded...he now integrates with his team, especially the receivers, on a higher plane of function. He and Dez Bryant have assumed an even more sophisticated relationship. Last season, the two were having to slowly establish a level of expectation and familiarity. Besides this, Dez was just starting to return to a healthy progression of his own skill levels, following his recovery directions from the previous injuries.
Opponents will not be evaluating a strength view of Dak from last season. He won't be over analyzed to the detriment of the Cowboys. He will be in fact, getting even better this season.
Even Andy Reid, after taking his Chiefs to a well game planned victory against a home field New England, will have problems picking apart this year's Cowboys. No one has seen this monster let loose before.
The Court just provided the animal of a huge running game, to the offense. The Cowboys could well put onto the carpet, a quality bunch as the Steelers present now.
Oh, the story hasn't been half told on Dak. But with a quality, youthful offensive line, also growing...don't lose perspective as to where this group ultimately will arrive.
