How do they look? Haven't watched a single minute of them this year.

Luck is on fire with the best OL he's had in his career. No running game to speak of. TY Hilton is a beast and Eric Ebron seems to be a TD factor.

Sneaky good defense. Their rookie LB Darius Leonard is probably the only person in the way of LVE getting DROY.

Man, their defense was atrocious last year and they didn't really seem to make a lot of changes. So its surprising to me how good their defense is.

You got me worried now lol

Our old LB coach has their defense playing well. He's their DC.

Very beatable, just can't go into the game and coast. They can look great one week then bad the next, inconsistent. Not too worried since Luck isn't a running QB

Has all the makings of a game we could lose. They're fighting for their playoff lives. We're trying to get healthy for a playoff run. Plus it's a non-conference game so it'll have no impact on any tiebreakers.

If the Cowboys win this game, they win the NFC East division, plus secure a playoff trip (host at least the first playoff game).

*The current NFL playoff tiebreakers are as follows, with coin tosses used if all of the criteria fail: Divisional tiebreaker rules apply first before Conference tiebreaker rules...

Divisional tiebreakers
  1. Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games between the clubs).
  2. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division.
  3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games (games played against the same opponents).
  4. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
  5. Strength of victory (the combined won-lost-tied percentage of all the teams that a club has defeated).
  6. Strength of schedule (the combined won-lost-tied percentage of all the teams that a club has played against).
  7. Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed.
  8. Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed.
  9. Best net points in common games.
  10. Best net points in all games.
  11. Best net touchdowns in all games.
Conference tiebreakers
  1. Apply division tie breaker to eliminate all but the highest ranked club in each division prior to proceeding to step 2.
  2. Head-to-head, if applicable. (For ties among three or more teams, this step is only applied if there is a head-to-head sweep; i.e., if one club has defeated each of the others or if one club has lost to each of the others.)
  3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
  4. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games, minimum of four.
  5. Strength of victory (record of all the teams they defeated that season).
  6. Strength of schedule (record of all the teams they played that season).
  7. Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed.
  8. Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed.
  9. Best net points in conference games.
  10. Best net points in all games.
  11. Best net touchdowns in all games.

If we end up tied with the Bears for 3rd vs. 4th seed, it will come to the strength of victory tie breaker.
However we will have to beat TB and NYG to be tied in the common games tie breaker. Lose one of those games, they get it.

We can win 2 of the last 3, but doubt they lose 2 of the last 3.
They have GB, at SF, at Minnesota

Looks like, if we win the division, as we should, we will get 4th seed, and host Seattle.

I really dont want to play seattle

They are getting instant production from the 2018 class, similar to our 2016 class.
Their defense can be aggressive at times and Leonard is a huge factor.

The offensive line is no longer trash, Luck is healthy and has time to pick apart defenses.
Eric Ebron is a huge RZ threat and Ty Hilton is back to being Lucks go to guy between the 20's.

On the defensive side Leonard and Walker are both beasts very similar to Smith and Wolf Hunter here. On the offensive side Hilton has proven to be matchup proof and Luck is having a legit MVP season. Mack has come on lately but has troubles vs elite run defenses like the one the boys deploy. Don't let the record full you Cowboys. Great teams win these games.

Anyone remember the last 3 times we played the Colts?

2006 - ended their 9 game win streak.
2010 - Manning threw pick sixes to Scandrick and Sean Lee. We won in overtime.
2014 - murdered them 42-7, knocked Luck out of the game, and clinched the NFCE.

Colts with Luck playing so well will provide a challenging opponent without a doubt. They have home field advantage with fans hungry for a playoff run so they will make it tough on Dak no doubt. We just have to do what we do and win top and wear down their fast defense and ball out on our defense. Can't read the headlines and think we can show up and get the win. This team was just shut out by Jacksonville but turned around and beat a very hot and streaking Houston team who beat us pretty soundly earlier. Think I will be on pins and needles again this week but that's ok as long as we win it in the end.

If we play our game we can beat anyone.
That said, we’ve had two very emotional games in back to back weeks. We are due for a let down facing a desperate team on the road with a red hot quarterback
. Hope for the best, but anyone expecting a cakewalk is kidding themselves. IMO
