Looking for a New TV before football season

I have a large Panasonic and love it as well. The picture quality is just awesome.

Have a 47 inch Phillips --lasted 3 years and has gone out..The repair service I called said don't fix it --buy a Samsung or LG ..For what its worth

LED and LCD are very similar designs regarding the panel. The type of lighting used on the panel is the big difference. After that you need to know if it is edge lit vs. full back lighting. Another key difference is the ability to turn off the lighting to produce better black levels.

I have four Samsungs and after tuning them properly, which can take some time and money if you are unfamiliar with the process, I can honestly say I love all of them.

Again the Samsung 60" at Costco is a great deal right now.

I'm not as informed about TV's as you seem to be. I just know that I have a Samsung LCD tv and my Uncle has an LED tv. There's an ENORMOUS difference in quality. I was blown away when I watched Clash of the Titans on their TV. It was like you were on set.

That's a very very good deal for that TV!
