So just to set the table str8 I havent reviewed every possible trade scenario and I invite anyone
who has, would be awesome, to share trades down that seem to make some sense.
Vikings have the 14 so I invite this possible trade partner in.
IMO the Vikes have had a very solid offseason, they got Tomlinson, Peterson, others notable as well,
thats not the point.
They also signed our boy Zavier Woods who is currently penciled in as their starting FS, so that might
be an indicator that the Vikes are really eye balling some help in their secondary, and if we are sitting at 10
and Surtain or Horn were available, would be an open invitation for the Vikes to start calling.
I guess Im looking for that answer from the forum....
Do you say no thank you and hang up the phone and take Surtain or Horn in that situation or do you take
the slide back to 14 and take your chances, worst case you end up with a Darrisaw there at worst, that not bad, probably not the best available, just using him as an example.
Dont know the value chart from 14 to 10, and I know the Vikes dont have a second round pick this year, but what I do know is that they have a lot of meat and potatoes...
Vikes have the following draft picks...
1-14 overall
3 - 78
3 - 90
4 - 119
4 - 125
4 - 134
4 - 143
5 - 157
5 - 168
6 - 199

14 and 78 is an exact even trade for 10

Tell me who the first 9 picks are and I'll tell you if I do the deal. If you are telling me we are taking Darrisaw, I'm voiding the trade

Patriots might be in the mix. But I’m not giving the Patriots a deal. I’m raping them or not moving that far down. Too much of a talent drop off.

You know who the typical first 9 picks are..
Lawrence
Wilson
Jones
Fields
Lance
Maybe not all five but I bet four
Pitts
Sewell
Smith
Chase
Thats a likely scenario that pops Slater, Surtain and Horn out.
Swap out who you feel or add Parsons there as well.

Right there, and they got some stock as well,, @JBS maybe can keep showing the value chart its appreciated in these scenarios,,
Pats at 15 have the following..
2 - 46
3 - 96
4 - 120
4 - 122
4 - 139
5 - 177
also some spare change with 2 - 6ths and 7th, who cares..
Its good that you brought the 15 into the conversation.

I think the Chargers are a sneaky trade back partner depending on how the OT picks go ahead of us. They have publicly said they still need to acquire a LT to protect Herbert.

Sewell is the obvious choice for Cinci and now the Panthers are a strong contender to go LT after acquiring Darnold. If both Sewell and Slater are off the board Darrisaw would be the only possible plug and play LT left. Small trade up to secure their guy could be beneficial for both teams.

10 and 179 (1319) for 13, 97, and 118 (1320)

I guess that chart doesn't account for comp picks. There are 256 picks total.

I wouldnt trade back for anything other than a 2nd rounder. If we had to give up a 6th or 5th to get that 2nd rounder then IM fine with that.

Patriots for a QB
Chargers for an O-linemen

These are the two that are most enticing and make sense to me. I feel like a WR is going at either 11 or 12. So there doesn’t seem a lot of risk/guess work with a trade to 13.

IMHO there could be an opportunity to move back and the best possible trade partners, what they'd be after and pick values to get to 10 are:
**This is what the trade value chart says the pick is worth, not what I say I would take for it.**

13 Chargers= OT, TE -13 & 77 for 10
14 Vikings= Edg, OT - 14 & 78 for 10
15 Pats= QB, TE - 15 & 46 for 10 & 75
17 Raiders= CB, OT - 17 & 48 for 10 & 115
18 Miami TE, OT, WR - 18 & 50 for 10
19 Wash= QB, OT, TE, LB - 19 & 51 & 124 for 10
20 Bears= QB - 20 & 52 & 83 for 10 & 99
24 Steelers= QB - 24 & 55 & 87 & 128 for 10

I honestly don't think a trade back is in play, unless a doomsday scenario takes place in which all the receivers are only left. I am expecting a corner as the most likely, following by one of the Tackles, before they consider such a trade.

The doomsday scenario where no WR have been taken...I still think someone trades up to get Chase ahead of NYG and Eagles.

In regard to Qbs , you can throw out the draft value chart. KC gave up 2 firsts and a 3rd to move up to #10 for Mahomes. If Justin Fields is on the board at 10, we should expect better than draft value chart offers.

If a team is wanting to come up to 10 to draft their franchise QB we absolutely have to hold them hostage
