A friend of mine has a Dell Inspirion 5100 laptop that was ate up with virus'. We blew away the hard drive this past weekend and installed a fresh copy of Win XP sp3. They didn't have the manuf rescue or driver cd's for the laptop and we were keeping our fingers crossed that everything would load up ok. Well, the video didn't. Video is the VGA compat that Win XP defaults to when there isn't a better driver to choose from. now the video is wavy when scrolling and choppy. I've looked all over the net for the video driver and I'm having no luck without buying some program that will get me access to drivers. The Dell site link to the driver goes to a empty ftp site.
Anyone know where I may be able to find Dell legacy drivers without having to buy something to get them?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanx
