Looking for hot tips on Seattle

I've never been to the great Northwest but will have the pleasure for one week in September. If any of you have a favorite watering hole, restaurant, place to avoid, whatever, let me know! Outside of some offshore salmon fishing and avoiding 1st Street, I'm totally in the dark on what to do this trip.

Any suggestions?
