Asante Samuel is almost surely gone
They released Rosevelt Colvin
It's looking more and more like Randy Moss will leave
Belicheat could face a lengthy suspension or even be fired (unlikely)
Their 74 year old linebackers simply cannot produce much longer

I know they've sustained big blows and kept rollign before, but nothing like this. It's hard to imagine that, in the AFC, a team can lose two of their three best players and have a front office in such turmoil and still be a real threat.

1. Their schedule next season is a joke.

2. Their division is a joke.

3. I still doubt Moss leaves. Unless its a mental thing with him looking at all the talent leave and Spygate and not feeling safe with the long term situation there, I dont see him leaving Brady.

I still see them winning 13-14 games next year.

They still have Brady, and they have a very good defensive front.

And they have a weak schedule, as mentioned on an earlier post.

And I'm still thinking Moss stays.

I agree that their part of their defense is going to be a problem heading forward. Especially at LB and CB.

But they've taken some steps at S with Sanders and the Merriweather drafting last year. And they got their DL locked up long term...so they are pretty set their.

If they are truly in the Lito Sheppard hunt, that would help offset the loss of Samuel. And they played a great portion of their season without Colvin anyway. If they can bring back Moss, their offense will be great, again. And they too, will be great.

If they lose all of those guys, then maybe they decline from 16-0 to 12-4... and they'd still have Tom Brady in the playoffs.

I don't see much of a drop-off coming anytime soon.

I'm not sure I buy that. They don't have a real running game, playing mostly off their passing to get rushing yardage, and if you take away Randy Moss, and his constant double teams and attention, you really think that offense is "great" ???

I don't. The Eagles offense was not "great" without TO, either.

as long as they have brady and a decent defense they will be around for a while. not to mention they play in the worst division in football

I am not sure what the point of your post is.

I said if they brought back Moss, their offense would be great, as evidence by this past year.

So you said if you take away Moss it wouldn't matter.... so? My point was if they brought back Moss.

But hey, if you want to play that game. Our offense wont be great either, if you take away Owens.

Unfortunately, as long as they have Brady, they're going to be one of the best teams in the league.

But I can live with that as long as they don't win it all. :)

The Eagles also haven't managed to win 3 Super Bowls without an all-star WR corp (like the Pats have managed to do).

The Eagles also don't have a patsy schedule next year (like the Pats do).

Anyone who thinks the Pats are going to nosedive next year are wishful thinking, at best, and delusional.

Is Brady still alive?

Then they will be fine and win at least 12 games.

More than the players losses and possible coach suspension(yeah right, believe that when it happens).... anyways.. more that those things I think that the weekly emotional/mental grind of reporters and spygate will break them down.

The got a bit of a pass this past season... no one really rode them hard about it... instead they posed the question in ways that had them answering as if they were victims in the matter. THAT wont be the way its phrased next year.

"So... how does it feel to lose a SB by 3 points" :lmao2:
"Without cheating you guys are 0-1 in SB's" :lmao2:
"Do you think that if you guys werent busted for cheating last year that you win that SB instead of losing it" :lmao2:

Even with their issues I unfortunately have to agree.
