with John Abraham opposite Ware? That would be a great off-season addition to our defense. Two guys that can get to the Qb and play in coverage. Some say Abraham is weak in the run, but Ware has been pretty stout holding up at the point on run plays to his side. Go get him JJ.

True, but it doesn't hurt to dream. Besides I'm sick of seeing Singleton over there any ways. Watching Singleton rush the Qb is like waking up to the ugly girl after a night of drinking. You just think, where did I go wrong and why did I do that!

I like Abraham but I thought he didn't want to play OLB.

Usually if you're going to play a true 3-4 you want both guys to be able to rush the passer and drop into coverage. Ware has been doing okay in coverage considering the transition but I don't know if we can afford to have two DEs on the field at OLB.

I think our efforts would be better concentrated on the OL which has become the main weakness of the team.

I don't think any guy that can get to the Qb like Ware and Abraham want to drop into coverage. You don't get paid well for covering TEs as a LB, but if shown the right money, I'm sure he'd change his mind. He has played for BP and in the 3-4, I believe, so it would be a natural fit. We would own the mismatch and DC would go nuts trying to figure out which guy to double. The only problem with signing John Abraham is that it make Ellis expendable, unless Ellis agrees to play inside on passing downs.

I just saw Abraham drop into coverage and he looked pretty natural.

I'd rather draft Bobby Carpenter and put him over there.

i would rather focus on the offense after the season is over, starting with OL all the way to QB

I thought Carpenter would translate into a Middle LB at the pro level, but that wouldn't be a bad pick either.

We have good moneyin the cap area to do a couple of things. I agree the OL must be addressed, but adding a nice piece to an evolving good defense can be explored as well in FA.

He could play inside or out. I think hawk could too.

Sorry about this weekend too, I know I should have waited until the game was over before asking you to look at Troy vs. Roys stats. I missed up up my own superstition.

You just don't know how bad I feel. The game was over and I went to bed 15 minutes later, because I was so sick. Nothing could have made me get up. My bad, it won't happen again. I won't even post in the chat room now, during the game.

I'd just like to point out that the week before, the "rule" was broken and we won.
