looks like a four team race for the playoffs

well with the eagles winning tonight it looks like a four team race withe the eagles, giants, packers, and dallas. so which team fades in december will be the one that does not make the playoffs. i think that the cowboys have the harder schedule then the the other three teams. atlanta could make some noise with three out the next four at home. the bears and pathers, 49ers are done. if we can beat oakland and win our next two home games i think we have a good chance at a wild card.
i still think that the giants will win the division. they have three division games left with two of them at home. with the way denver is playing i do not see them losing on thursday.

You just might be right the way Cowboys have been playing on offense. Overall I have to commend Wade Phillips for how well the defense have been playing. I just hope Jerry Jones at least keep him on board with the defense, he's one of the best defensive cordinators in the NFL. But Im hoping Wade Phillips could show Jerry Jones he needs another contract by winning in the playoffs.

Al Harris.

And Aaron Kampman, their pass rusher extraordinaire, is out for the season with a torn ACL.

Those two injuries are going to hurt, big time. And the Packers still have to play the Ravens and Steelers.

Correct. Don't hand the Packers a playoff berth yet. They got banged up pretty bad yesterday, and will struggle down the stretch as a result.

I just hoping Cowboys win the game Thursday against Oakland first. People, don't fail to realize that Cowboys have to take one game at a time.

Dude, are you insane? We currently lead the division and you're talking about us possibly taking a wild-card? We're going to march into NY and dismantle them for what they did at our home opener. Philly is coming to our house, and hopefully we'll play a better offensive game against Washington next time around.

We win those games, its our division.

Ya.........and if we lose "those games"... the OP has a valid point. Opinion vs. opinion.

I don't get it either. I have never been more confident in our ability to fold in December as I am this year.
This team is different. This team fights to the end. The only game we weren't in at the end was the Packers game. Lost to the Giants on a last minute field goal. Failed to tie the Broncs at the buzzer. It's not pretty, but this team does not fold like years past.

Course, it's not December yet. So we'll see.

Let's see...

Green Bay: 4 road games. ok, one at Detroit. There is a good chance that they'll drop the rest. One at home is against the Ravens. 3-3 sounds realistic for the rest of the season. That would make them a 9-7 team, I guess that's not enough.

Philly: easy home games but tough road schedule (NY, Atl, Dallas). 4-2, makes them 10-6, may not be enough with bad tiebreakers (division and Atl loss)

NYG: 3 division games, two at home, one at Washington. Denver, Carolina and at Minnesota. At least 4-2, makes them 10-6, playoffs.

Atl: 2x Tampa, Jets and Buffalo should get them 4 wins. loss at home against NO. crucial tiebreaker game against Philly. 5-1 gets them in.

means to us: must wins against Raiders and at Washington. Need one out of NYG and Philly. Makes us 10-6 if we drop San Diego and NO with a 4-2 division record. tie breaker vs Atl looks golden.
If Green Bay folds as I expect them to do, we will have a hard time to not make the playoffs with a 2.5 game lead over Atlanta. If not, that loss there can turn out very painful.

Unfortunately right now, we dont score tds either.

4 in 3 games aint gonna get it done against the schedule we play in December.

If they play the same way they did vs GB and Wash, we'll be lucky to finish 2-4

The Cowboys play better and with more focus on the road. I'd rather they play @NY and Washington than at home.

I wouldnt guarantee a denver loss against new york at home on thursday night.

you would be suprised at what a despreate team can do...see green bay...

Actually I think Thursday's game is as big as any game the rest of the year. I know it's not even against a conference opponent, but with as tough as December will be, Dallas needs to win every game they are supposed to. Losing to Oakland would really, really hurt. Look at Philly...they'd have the same record as us if not for that hiccup.

The one thing the team has done this year is avoid those hiccups (GB is debatable). They have beaten all the teams they are supposed to and need to on Thursday.
