I think they’ll be better this year, but still not quite good enough. Unless they are planning to get way more into free agency than they’ve been (even this year was only Thompson), they can’t really trade any more top picks.

It’s possible they get a little closer but then lose Pickens, so how do you replace him? The best bet is a first round draft pick.

I am in full favor of them finally appearing to be trying to within a shorter period, and while I have confidence in the staff for the first time in forever, I still don’t trust the front office.

When you’re good this year, but not good enough, don’t tell me you can’t afford free agents and you also traded most of your draft picks.

At some point you’ve gotta either win or admit that you aren’t good at this. Well, maybe not if you happen to own the team.

There's almost no draft left for this team following the trades for Quinnen Williams, Rashan Gary, and Broderick Jones.

As for Pickens, maybe they tag him again in 2027 and trade him for a 1st and a 3rd. Ryan Flounroy could see that become a reality.
