The NFL has approved of the compensation to the Jets for Herm, a 4th rounder from KC. We should know about BP's future before long. This comes from KFFL.

I would say BP's plans are to finish work today then go home and eat dinner and play his guitar :D

A 4th round pick is all? Seems too little to lose a good coach.

I think he was probably on the way out anyways. easy way for KC to secure his rights. should be a great job change for Herm. No more NY media, and no more salary cap strapped QB controversy team to deal with. KC has a really bright future, if they can add youth on the ol gradually and shore up the defense they should be in the playoffs year in and year out.

According to Jay Glazer, the story is that the Jets were lucky to get a pick at all, since it was common knowledge around the league they didn't want him. Edwards had also apparently made it clear to his assistants that he wasn't returning either, whether he got offered the KC gig or not.
