Weis would be great, but I have a feeling he'll be at Notre Dame for a long time.

An outstanding college coach is Kirk Ferentz at Iowa. He has some NFL experience, too.

Jeff Tedford at Cal is the other college coach I think would do well in the NFL.

Pete "Rah, Rah" Carroll is perfect for the college game. He's basically a male cheerleader.

Mack Brown ... I just don't see him cutting it in the NFL at all.
For our next coach I would shy away from anyone who doesn't have prior NFL experience. I expect when Bill leaves that this team will be pretty close. I don't want to wait for a college coach to learn about the pro game. The Iowa coach has coached in the pros on a few staffs so I would consider him.

I wish we had our future head coach on our roster. Right now, I would prefer one of the hot coordinators that pop up every year. A young John Fox would be ideal imo.

Nick Saban coached the LSU Tigers, not the Miami Hurricanes

I'd love to have him as a offensive coordinator, but even as a huge USC fan, I'll wait to see how her does as a head coach for more than a game before thinking he's ready for a head position in the NFL.
