Former cuts of parcells and how they are doing now.

Glover 1.5 sacks, is slowing down, cut him just in time

Coakley 10 tackles - injured? unsure, injured the year after we dumped him, good call bp

Copper 10 catches...saw one crucial drop last week...or fumble i mean...pretty bad, he sucks

Randal Williams- 10 catches, nothing big, they suck

Dan Campbell 12 catches...nothing spectacular, they suck

key - 43 catches,,,is doing alright

shanle 62 tackles, 3 sacks

fujita 59 tackles, 2.5 sacks

galloway - only 34 catches

bryant 29 catches, 2 td's...not too good for a number 1

even larry allen has only played in 4 games being injured...got out just in time with him

the rest of the guys are mostly where they should be, out of the league! the only two guys who are doing anything great are shanle and fujita but thats due to the system they are in IMO..and the great offense they have...they would have been just what they are truely, average in our defense once again

We have a pretty good offense ourselves so why don't 2 of our LBs have their sacks; we sure could use them now. Now let's see, which of our LBs should be given Fujita's & Shanle's sacks (5-1/2). Of course, on the other hand, which of our LBs do we want to cut to play these 2 guys. Probably none of them although I'm not sold on Junior Glymph het.

Also Galloway's trying to have a good year, like he did last year, but it's kind of difficult when your starting QB is a rookie late round pick whose playing cause the starting QB went down.

Agree on the rest of our rejects. Am sorry about LA though; he was a great Cowboy through most of his career whose now (through age & injuries) on his last legs. Probably will try playing 1 more year but then retire after 07 season. That will get him into the HOF around 2013 but probably into Cowboys ROH in 2009/2010.

Key projects to 80 catches. That's "doing alright"?

Shanle and Fujita have good numbers...

Galloway...you forgot to mention the 80 catches, 1300 yards and 10 TD's from last year...and if you project his numbers this year, with a QB who has ZERO experience, he'll still have over 1000 yards and 8TD's.

You forgot to mention that Bryant was traded for Quincy Morgan. How's he doing on our roster these days? Bryant has over 150 receptions since leaving the Cowboys. Morgan has 9.

Glover, salary cap cut....no brainer.
Copper, special team's guy. His receiving stats dont mean a whole lot
Randall Williams, anyone on the planet knew he sucked when we had him. No brainer
Campbell, injury, age, cap cut. Almost a no brainer

Anyone of us would have cut the above four.

You might want to just stick with Tony Romo as an example, which was a brilliant job by Parcells.

There's never been any problem with Parcells personnel decisions, IMO. He lets people walk, for whatever reason, and it always seems to work out. Now, the areas he doesn't address in the offseason when given a chance, that's another matter entirely. But when he lets someone go, it's generally a good decision.

Key was swapped out for TO, who obviously is producing much more. Even if you bring up the drops, Key dropped a big pass against us and has also lost a fumble this season.

Shanle and Fujita have good numbers...
Both are simply better 4-3 LBers.

Plus the Saints rank 22nd against the run. Just because Shanle and Fujita have a lot of tackles doesn't mean they aren't 4 or 5 yards past the line of scrimmage.

But he was traded for Key, who you just praised above.

That wasn't a trade because they thought they were going to get something out of MOrgan. That was a trade made because they were going to cut Bryant anyway, and tried to get at least something for him. Evaluating that as a 'real' trade is silly.

Most of Bryant's catches have come in garbage time, he has had key drops that cost the Browns games (hence, he's no longer there), and he still is all about his own numbers. No loss.

Glover, salary cap cut....no brainer.

Agreed. Although you still hear the occasional lament about Glover here.

Terry Glenn for a 6th round pick worked out pretty good.

I didn't make any comments about the Key for TO swap. I simply said that 80 catches is better than "alright"

Shanle, Fujita are serviceable LB's. He makes it sound like they were dregs. They didn't fit the system. But dont make it sound like "Good riddance"

Next....To mention Bryant without mentioning who we got for him, Morgan, is ridiculous. Again. Who's saying Bryant is a great receiver? Who's talking about, or NOT talking about his drops etc. STSINAZ is saying that Bryant isn't very good for a number one receiver. Well, he's better than the guy we got for him. However you want to evaluate, or not, the "trade".

Glover is another guy who didn't fit the system. I liked him. Mucho. But he didn't fit and his $$$ made it an impossible fit.

Good point about Glenn. A very good pick up.

Actually, this is not true and is a misconception by a lot of fans.

The Cowboys made multiple offers to Keyshawn trying to keep him even after they signed TO but Keyshawn was offered more money from Carolina. Both the Cowboys and Keyshawn have confirmed this.

However, the bottom line is that Keyshawn was the #2 receiver here and would have become the #3 receiver so in a sense, you are correct. However, it wasn't that the Cowboys/Parcells did not want Keyshawn back .. they did and bad enough to make multiple offers to him.

As much as I liked Keyshawn, I am excited about Crayton (have been since the first preseason game he ever played) and Hurd.
