The way to get back to competing for Superbowls is to have a dominating defense.

He's missed the fact that the Pats, also, have had a really good defense on a points/series basis after correcting things early in the season. It's really true. It's hard to win the close games to good QBs if your team is relatively easy to score on.

Don't we all know...:hammer:

Well, that's because they already have Aaron Rodgers on offense..

Their defense was way worse than ours was and they beat us... I'm also pretty sure if their defense played like our defense did this year, they would have won more games. and they also lost games because Rodgers went out, meaning their offense.

So... you're agreeing?

Well, Rodgers got to the conference championship when he had the 13th ranked scoring defense. We can't even make the playoffs with the 13th ranked scoring defense.

I'm pretty sure that if Rodgers had a Jaguars like defense, his teams would be pretty much unstoppable.

I also like how he spoke about coaching as far as the Pats are concerned.

So... yes?

If you're saying Rodgers is better than Romo and Prescott, yep.

But Rodgers isn't talking about 'relative' defensive domination. He's talking about the way to get championships being to straight up have a dominating defense.

Well that's because GB has never had a problem offensively... Their issues have always been, they lose because their defenses suck.. But they still make the playoffs most of the time.

Even when our defenses are equivalent to Rodgers when they are winning play-off games, we can't even sniff the playoffs.

Oh my Gawd, like you're going to get a straight answer from that guy.
He wants to tell you the flavor of his Kool-Aid, but absolutely has to throw mud in it so you can't really tell.

He can't even answer a yes/no question without talking about three other things in the process.

I don't think it's even being disputed that championship defenses win championships...

But guess what.. they also lose, because their offenses aren't good enough in the end..

The problem of GB has always been their defense. Our problems have been on both sides of the ball.

We had the thirteenth ranked scoring defense this year and we didn't sniff the playoffs. Our defense wasn't the problem. I'm pretty sure if Rodgers played with thedefense this year, he'd be playing at least in the conference championship.

The Packers had like the 25th ranked defense and they were still in contention, until Rodgers went out. They even got into the playoffs last year and beat us, while their defense was giving up over 400 yards a game in the last 4 game plus stretch.
