Okay - just watched it.

In a word: AWESOME!!!

Pretty low budget, but I felt I was watching a major motion picture production. From the beautiful cinematography to the music (that was very true to the LOTR franchise) to the acting, props, sound effects, costumes, editing, story & plot, script & dialogue, production and directing, I mean EVERYTHING was outstanding!

HIGHLY recommended for anyone who is a fan of this franchise, I guarantee you that you will not be disappointed. Even if you have never seen the really, really long films previously, if you want to see a relatively much shorter LOTR-related film to get a taste of what is in the other films, check this out!

It is only available in this format, online, always free. I'm bookmarking this one for sure and will definitely be watching it again!

"Born of Hope is an independent feature film inspired by the Lord of the Rings and produced in the UK. www.bornofhope.com

A scattered people, the descendents of storied sea kings of the ancient West, struggle to survive in a lonely wilderness as a dark force relentlessly bends its will toward their destruction. Yet amidst these valiant, desperate people, hope remains. A royal house endures unbroken from father to son.

This 70 minute original drama is set in the time before the War of the Ring and tells the story of the Dúnedain, the Rangers of the North, before the return of the King. Inspired by only a couple of paragraphs written by Tolkien in the appendices of the Lord of the Rings we follow Arathorn and Gilraen, the parents of Aragorn, from their first meeting through a turbulent time in their people's history."
