SF, everyone’s SB favorite, was the first top team to lose 3 in a row.
Philly, one time SB and MVP QB favorites, lost 3 in a row.
Jacksonville, once an 8-3 SB sleeper, has lost 4 in a row.
KC, with the best QB and coach in the league, has lost 5 of their last 8, mostly to teams that are pretty bad.

Granted, losing 2-3 in a row at the end of the season is bad, but if the OL and Hankins are back at full strength for the playoffs, is losing 2-3 in a row to playoff teams all that horrible after defeating two playoff teams in Seattle and Philly right before that? It’s not good, and our struggle with the run game and getting any production from our LBs is not going to just disappear; however, while I don’t feel the confidence we all felt after destroying Philly 3 weeks ago, I still feel uncomfortably hopeful that this team, if healthy, is capable of giving itself a chance to win a couple of playoff games.

Let’s put Jimmy in the ROH with style. The Cowboys are a playoff team. Losing streak be damned.

"How are those 1 of 500 coaches doing for you these days?"

It's not so much whether or not. We lose 3 in a row. It's how we lose 3 in a row that matters.
There's no way we should lose to Detroit at home tomorrow if we do, and it's stupid stuff, we've got issues going into the playoffs.
If that's the case, nothing has changed.

If we do puke on our shoes again in the playoffs, we have to look at the losses over the last 3 years and see what the constants are and fix them. Not just rearrange the deck chairs on the Titanic.

All teams you mention outside of SF have had issues for multiple weeks, and there is no quick fix for them. The only thing that can derail SF is the injury report, and with the kind of game they play there is no guarantee they remain healthy. I honestly don't care who has lost 1,2,3,5 games in a row it's going to come down to who is healthy and playing the best Footbal come playoff time. Right now, only the 9ers make your list and the worry is about other teams right now: Lions, Rams and dare I even suggest TB

Agreed, and if we defeat Detroit, we will have played 5 very good playoff teams in a row and ended up 3-2 with one loss where we had the lead until the final play of the game.

If Detroit defeats us with a strong run game, we will just have to hope that the playoffs will begin with Tyron and Hankins back in the lineup.

Losing 3 straight in December is setting you up for a one and done in January. This is an important game for the Cowboys and it’s at home. If we can’t win this one we’re not going anywhere in the playoffs.

If we lose to Detroit because they ran on us and dominated the clock, I’ll still have hope that we can win a couple of playoff games by slowing down the run game with Hankins in the lineup and that our offense will be better with Tyron in the lineup. Yes, we may be 1 and done, but I believe we can win a couple.

True, I don’t like it, but we were also 1 and done twice when we had the #1 seed and a bye week.
Anything can happen.

One of those one and done number one seeds, the 2007 team was playing terrible entering the playoffs and the other, the 2016 team got stuck having to face Aaron Rodgers in the divisional round.

Nah, that kind of thing is something only the Cowboys can do, and of course, that is an NFL record of shame that the Cowboys currently hold. No other team has ever failed that hard twice.

I've said from the start that I expected Dallas to finish 12-5 this year. it's just hard to win them all because of injuries, bad luck, a letdown in play, etc. It would be good for everybody if we win tomorrow night, but it isn't the end of the world if we don't.

Obviously, there are some concerns with losing multiple games in a row late in the season, but those concerns aren't going to be resolved by beating Detroit. Of course, I expect this place to be on full-on meltdown if we lose.

I think preparing or "being okay" with losing is loser mentality. Taking that into the playoffs? Lose.

Granted, player attitude is different than fan attitude. But they are humans too, can think and feel the exact same way.

"ah nah bro we got this...it won't matter".

Now you can't just cry or give up if you lose...but!

Go into the playoffs winners. Take that with you. It's not just a game of physicality...not how humans work. Even "super" humans.

We all know what the constant is the last three years.

agree but let's not concede this right now I mean we could beat the lions I mean we we easily could have beat Miami we're OneDrive away from having our defense blow up and stop them and they did not and then we had that weird fumble which was an exchange issue that was on the road I can tell you right now the Philly game that we lost on the road that should have gone our way as well so I'm not worried about Detroit if we play solid play like we usually do at home we're gonna win this game and not have to worry about a three-game losing streak...

Why are we talking about losing three in a row before the game has been played? Dallas has been very good at home. Let's see what happens first.

There's nothing like entering the playoffs with no momentum whatsoever, ultimate recipe for success. The Lions game is a must win.

Also, being hopeful about this team's post-season chances is setting yourself up for disappointment. Let them surprise you -- or not.
