be beneficial to us. I like everyone else on this board is pissed off right now, But do we really want the Giants or Eagles in the 1st round of the playoffs since we usually play them so close?

Can someone answer if the 1st wildcard plays the NFC West? Who is our most likely opponent at this point?

I think if we have a home game we will play the giants.
If we are on the Raod I think we would go to Seattle.

If the season ended today we'd be the #5 seed and play in Seattle the first round (who have clinched the NFC West).

Losing to the Eagles is not beneficial to us.

Losing to the Eagles shows we are a weak, and flawed team.

Being a weak and flawed team is not beneficial to us.

If you are looking for postives from the game... I'd rather play Seattle than New York again.

I think going into Seatle as an underdog might be enough to get this team up.

We certainly don't play well at home and also as favorites.

So yea, I think in this case 5 may be better than 3.

I also would rather play Seatle away vs the gints at home.

I want the freakin' division. What the hell is up with everyone thinking that a loss is a good thing?

Did it not occur to you that the Eagles and Giants might not have even made the playoffs?

Of course the Eagles are in now, but if we would have beat them they might have been stuck on the outside looking in if they couldn't beat Atlanta.

9-4 and losing the division is tired.....shoot if we lost to Atlanta we'd be out...just like 7-3 and out last year...we suck.

Seattle runs the same offense as the team that slaughtered us today, only with more talented players & in a louder stadium.

So yeah, you guys are spot on in thinking we'd be better off playing them.

Woulda ,shoulda coulda , History is history and fact is fact and the fact is (to me) we don't play well at home in big games.
So now we have to think of the future (how dim it may be ) but it's our only hope now.

It's going to be interesting to see this board next week when the Eagles lose to Atlanta and we beat Detroit.

If I'm not mistaken, they (Seatle ), have lost three straight.

They haven't had the luxury of facing a Mike Zimmer coached defense.

It seems to be the cure-all for any team.

By the way, we're only 1-2 over the same stretch.

I think he was trying to say we may benefit from the loss by playing a team we match up with better or whatever.

I still disagree. We wanted that game to have a chance at the second seed. Even seeded third we are better off.

Plus it wasn't just a loss. It was a demoralizing blowout where we were unwrapped and beat up.

We needed to beat the Eagles and take some fire out of them.

Keep telling yourself the same lie...keep "eating the cheese".
Keep telling yourself that Ware is better than Merriman.
Keep thinking that Julius is better than S. Jackson.
Keep telling yourself that passing on McNeil was smart.
Keep telling yourself that Skyler Green was a better choice than Devin Hester.
Keep thinking that Marcus"Britney"Spears was a good pick over Luis Castillo.
I've seen enough.

Ok ,so it didn't happen . Where do we go from here ,sit back and lick our wounds or try to get up for another day.
I know it was a bad loss but again thats history and keeping on our minds on it isn't going to help.

And also it makes for a not so fun forum during the week.:D
